It will not fit 8 1/2 x 11 papers exactly. The dimensions inside the safe are 7 1/2 x 12. If you don't mind bending the paper a little bit it should be fine but otherwise, it will not be a perfect fit.

What's the difference between this and the Model 1200BLK? Besides the $10 price difference? Specs and dimensions appear to be the same.

The two models you are referencing are identical except for 1 additional feature according to the SentrySafe web site. The Model 1210 has an included "bolt down kit" according to the key features at SentrySafe.com. They offer no explanation as to what that is or entails, so one is left to it's own self indicating description. Beyond that, and according to SentrySafe, they are the same.

Outside: 14.25" X 11.25" X 6.125"Inside: 11.25" X 7" X 3.375"It's a little cramped in the inside, but I use it to store hard disk backups, so it does the job.
