Can this unit be used in an outdoor application with a tripod and grade rod with the green laser detector? If so what's the range and accuracy?

I bought the laser because it was green and was supposed to be easy to see in bright daylight. However I found that not to be true, I was unable to as were my employees. If you use the receiver on a grade rod it works for approximately 200 feet with and accuracy of plus or -1/8 in that distance.

Does this laser give cross hairs?

Yes it does.. Fantastic laser!!!! Best tool I own

can you use this for foundations with a laser line detector?

I work in construction, and I have been using it for 2 years with the line laser detector, it works very well.
