Review: Excellent high quality pump. - The pump purchased was a replacement for a similar pump purchased years ago. Received quickly and was exactly what was needed. Has been in operation since being received and boosts house water pressure as advertised.
Review: Almost useless - I know this product has gotten good reviews but here is why I am giving it a bad rating: 1. Although the pump does boost initial pressure up to 35 PSI, it immediately drops when you open up any faucet albeit not as bad as when you flush the toilet or open a faucet that doesn't have a restrictor on it. This happens when you have a problem with low flow. If you have a problem with low flow (as like when you flush the toilet while your taking a shower and the pressure immediately drops) then this booster is basically useless. The pump has a "flow mode" which is just a marketing gimmick. All it is is another method of for the pump to start or stop. It will do absolutely nothing to improve your flow. That is what the tank is for and the tank is so small it is useless for this purpose. As someone stated in the "questions and answers" section, you need to upgrade to a much bigger tank to be able to maintain decent pressure in more than one faucet. So basically, this pump is a gimmick. All it is is a well pump with a holding tank and a very small one at that. The real marketing gimmick is the whole controller with the different settings on it which leads me to my next point. 2. The instructions on how to control the pump are abysmal. I followed the directions and it for whatever reason the pump kept slowly boosting the pressure throughout the day to a whopping 130 PSI. Its a miracle my pipes, water heater and other things didn't get damaged. I thought I had done something wrong and reset everything, followed the instructions gain and the same thing happened. I spent a whole day trying to figure out on my own how to adjust the settings and finally did something right as now my pressure never goes higher than 74 PSI. 3. Quality control. When my pump arrived, the sensor which senses the water pressure was bent and was leaking. I figured out it was because they had cross threaded the sensor into a cheap nylon bushing. I had a heck of a time removing the nylon bushing and had to purchase a brass one to replace it. I shouldn't have had to do this for a product so expensive. I contacted the seller, Ohio supply, but they took as much interest in my situation as someone takes interest in a snail crossing the road while driving. Save your money, buy a good well pump, install a big holding tank and you'll be better off. This thing is overpriced and will not work well for a big house or if you have an old house with low flow due to galvanized pipe being clogged or similar situation.. It will work well for improving a shower and maybe a shower head and faucet but with these new high pressure shower heads available this pump is not needed. Don't fall for the trap of buying the more powerful 3/4 or 1hp models. With low flow it doesn't matter and you can never, or should never get your pressure past 80psi no matter what your situation. The secret here is the holding tank. The bigger the tank, the longer time to maintain the initial boosted pressure for a longer period of time. Hope this helps someone thinking of buying this.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does anyone have a suggestion to dampen the noise? I can hear this kick on, hum, and shut off from the other side of the house.**
A: Our first one was quiet for the first couple of years. Then it started making noise -- until finally it sounded like a jet plane was revving up for takeoff in our basement. I guess, like everything else, it finally wore out. We replaced it with the same pump and my husband commented that it was so quiet you could sleep beside it. If yours is new and is noisy, it may be faulty. If you've had it a while, you just may need a new one like we did.

**Q: Can this system be used for homes on a well? If so, where is it installed?**
A: Yes. Install the system ABOVE ground in the post well pump plumbing. Just follow the directions. Its easy to install if you have basic mechanical skills, if you don't, pay a plumber, it will only take him an hour or two. My system works great with my well pump and I installed it myself. Don't forget to protect everything from freezing.

**Q: does this come with any accessories to install the pump?**
A: Nope.

**Q: how much will this pump boost from a water tank that is located right next to it? the water tank will gavity feed into the booster pump.**
A: The amount of pressure boost depends on the GPM of water being used. The maximum boost for this pump is 35PSI at 1GPM of flow. That drops to about 26PSI of boost at 10GPM, and to 10PSI at 20GPM of flow.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Pressure Booster!
*by H***D on September 28, 2015*

My water pressure was 42 psi. My shower was a drizzle. After installing this God-send of a pump, my pressure now goes up to 82 psi and holds at 63 psi with the shower running !! The pump is very quiet, reliable and effective. My shower is now invigorating instead of frustrating. I should have done this YEARS ago! ** 2.5 Years later, still working flawlessly. Never fails, never leaks, just keeps on doing what it's made to do. If you're on the fence about this purchase, then fall on the BUY side!
