Review: Good quality - need to get the hang of the compass - Very nicely made. I like the way the long scale disassembles. The case is pretty useless in that the formed plastic for holding the parts is poorly designed. Using the compass requires 1) get the compass center suction point really firmly attached. Then 2) draw the circle holding the compass with only one hand at the hinge point. Takes some practice, but it's a very nice unit once you've mastered it. One thing I wish is that the marker holder attachment was designed to "hug" the marker rather than pin it with a set screw. It take an adult to tighten it enough to hold well, then the marker gets squished, but it still works.
