The author is an excellent designer and colorist, so much can be learned from her completed work. I love the color photos which help to delineate the weaving process. It gives me the confidence I need to start and finish a project. As a beginner I need to see where I am going, not history , though interesting ,or extremely advanced projects. There are beautiful photos of intermediate and advanced work for inspiration , but the projects and techniques are not out of reach. For me it hit the right note. I have done only a bit of weaving but want to do more without the intensity needed in other types of weaving that include more measurement. I also ordered a similar book titled Tapestry Weaving , by Nancy Harvey.
