My understanding is that these are generally used in flashlights, and they definitely have that very positive "click" that you'd expect for that use. But I've found them to be very handy general purpose switches for all sorts of electronics projects. The fact that they are latching rather than momentary makes them perfect for power switches where you might usually have to use something like a slide or toggle switch.You can easily solder wires directly to the leads on the switch, but if you put a couple bends into them, they can also be surface mounted. I created a simple footprint for the switch in KiCad that I've used on a couple projects now. They might be a little chunky compared to most SMD components, but if you've got other big devices on the board like battery holders and connectors, they shouldn't be too out of place.

Best bag for the buck. These worked out perfectly for my diorama.

I use these buttons for building circuits with my students for their "Energy & Electricity" course. They work well when you tape them down to copper tape or soldered to wired. Great quality product. Be careful when soldering though, The heat can burn out the button if you get too close. Take it easy. Feel me?

Lifetime is less than amazing, but they do turn off and on.

These were perfect.

I love these switches. They are small enough to be almost hidden in a craft project. For example, I made a rose in a plastic dome for each of my daughters with leds to illuminate it and I had to tell most of them that there was a switch! The tabs are easy to solder and unsolder because you are not inserting the wire into a hole on the tab. However, be careful when you solder. If you leave the iron on the tab too long it can melt the switch casing.

Does what it's suppose to do!!The attached image highlights the White Latching Switches red circles on top of this custom built Radio Controlled FPV Flying Wing. The switch on the left controls the on / off power for the FPV Video Transmitter ( VTX ) and the switch on the right controls the on / off function of the rc planes Lime Green 5v COB LED strip lights mounted in between the trailing edge and the center motor mount.

While they took me some getting used to to mount in my devices and doodads I make because there is no way to screw in or mount then, and you cannot use them like a through hole button or switch as the leads are too fat. I've had to 3d print my cases specifcally for them. Once I got used to that though, they've been amazing little toggling switches. Love them!Also they're pretty cute for buttons.
