Sharp and functional
I love wine (who doesn't?), especially reds. However, living in a condo, it's hard to maintain reds at a good serving temperature. No basement to stick these bottles in. I had toyed with the idea of a wine fridge for awhile, and finally pulled the trigger earlier this year. I did some research and the two main features I wanted were: 1) quiet operation, and 2) dual zone. It seemed pointless to shell out for a single zone fridge where I could only house either reds or whites, but not both. This unit was billed as a quiet/silent wine fridge, and happy to report that it definitely meets those standards. I can best describe the noise as a white noise / slight hum. Enough to know that it's running, but not enough to be distracting. The temperature zones are great - I've got reds on top, whites/rose on the bottom. In terms of design, the top section (reds) has the capability to store wines both lying flat, as well as standing up (2 bottles max). This is great because you can keep the wines flat for longer term storage, but if you have a vacuum wine stopper you can theoretically open a bottle, plug it back with the vacuum stopper, and then put it back in the wine fridge while standing up - keeping it fresh and drinkable for at least another week. Finally - the design is very sleek / modern. Looks great in a living room. Very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone who is like me - not a wine connoisseur but who is simply looking to make the most of their wines.

Got a hum but works very well.
Would have given it 5 Stars be it for the constant hum which is a bit loud which you can get used to after awhile. It is very attractive and will fit nice in those tight spaces or fill a corner, just remember to leave room for the door to open completely so you can remove the wine. Had it a week, turned it on with a full load of bottles in a room that was 76 degrees and it cooled down to 60 degrees in 5 hours and has remained constant since. I will have in my office but will consider another spot in the house for it. Update: Had it for almost a month now and still works like a charm. Temperature remains constant and the hum from the fan "is what it is". If I had another room/basement that wasn't occupied that is where I would locate it, but the hum gets lost in your mental background after awhile. I whole heartedly recommend this unit for those that want to keep their wine at the proper temperature until consumption. For long term storage, another unit that was designed for that use would be wise. I have both levels at one temp since all my wines are red.

YES! Finally a great wine cooler
Let me start by saying I purchased two previous wine coolers from Amazon, and had to send both back the day after delivery (Nutrichef 12 bottle, Magic Chef 12 bottle). The first was damaged, the second had a faulty temp display which I called the manufacturer to fix and they told me to return it, and then I bought this. I figured why not go bigger. The WE dual zone cooler was packed much better than the previous two, and there was no damage. I read over the manual (highly recommend) and let the cooler stand unplugged overnight. The next morning I plugged it in, set my desired temps and hung around the house for a bit. The top part didn’t take long at all to get to my set temp (58 degrees) while the bottom was taking quite a while (47). I went to work and came back later that evening to find a very cooled, QUIET wine fridge! I was skeptical to get this one, mostly because WE wine coolers in the past have gotten bad reviews and people have reviewed this one as being too loud. Well, I’m happy to say mine is completely silent. I had to put my ear up to it to make sure it’s running. Zero noise. The first one I got made a horrible buzz sound. The manual does say if your wine cooler is making a loud noise it’s most likely not leveled or the room is too hot for it to operate correctly. I keep my home about 69-71 degrees. It took a hot minute to level the cooler because my floor is all messed up but I did and I haven’t had any issues. My roommates and I love it and not to mention, it looks beautiful! If you follow the manual and do what you’re supposed to, you should love this cooler and not have any problems. I know some can be faulty... but I’m extremely happy with mine!

Excellant wine cooler
I'd waited long enough in order to do and honest review more than two months since I'd this wine cooler. I LOVE this wine cooler. It arrived well package and received within the two days promised to be received. The slickness of it is so perfect. I have limited space in my small apartment therefore where I needed to place a cooler. Cooler had to be the right height and weight. Since it was going to be placed in my front room. It's also very quiet since it has been in operation. My wine looks excellent in this cooler. The temperature is perfect now it take me a second in order to get the handle on adjusting the temperatures. I was able to fit up to 20 bottle of wine within this cooler. I had looked at multitudes of reviews when it came to purchasing from this particular company and from other companies alike. What sold me was the reviews, the description, and the photos. When the wine cooler arrived and was setup I'd known that I had made the right purchase for me. It's a great buy.

Happy with this purchase
This wine cooler is awesome. It is really quiet (as in we can't hear it running), looks sleek and keeps our wine at the right temperatures. You have to follow the directions upon receipt. Let it sit for a few hours before plugging it in so it can settle from being moved around in travel and delivery and make sure you level the unit properly. Based on my reading all the reviews I think that if you do as the booklet tells you, then you shouldn't have any problems. It was really packed well so we had no issues with it being damaged when it arrived. So far, we are really really happy with this purchase!!! Wine Enthusiast was recommended to us by two family members who own units. They were happy with theirs.. We also checked all the reviews and made this choice. It's perfect so far!!

Nice layout and size. Superior to units seen in box stores
This replaces the exact same unit we previously had which lasted at least 8 years. It’s perfect size (height and width) for the space we have available and does a good job cooling wine. Aesthetically the unit looks good. The motor does ramp up making a hum when new bottles are added and then becomes quiet once the bottles are cooled. It could be irritating for some. The location in our house is such that we don’t hear the hum so it’s not an irritant.

Would not buy again
I started out giving this item four stars and after writing my comments I reduced it to two stars. General Comments: The item was available sooner than originally indicated and it arrived well-packaged for transit. When I opened the fridge itself, there was a strong plastic-like odor so I let it sit for a few days with the door open to air out. (Later I would see in the manual that the mfgr suggests the same.). I plugged it in and could see the temp indicators start to drop immediately. As others have said the unit is not whisper quiet. It's sounds like a small fan is running. The unit is fairly light weight and was able to move it easily on sliders. It comes with a lot of shelves to insert for the wine. I set the top portion of the fridge to 55 degrees and the bottom to 46 degrees. It took about 12+ hours to reach those temps (see the Cons below for more on this). Yesterday when the ambient/house temperature was probably around 80, the back of the unit was pretty warm (but not hot) to the touch. It was only slightly warm this morning after the house had cooled off over night. Pros: It's better than nothing. We live in a warm climate and needed refrigeration for wines. Cons: The refrigerator is always running. It never cycles off. This could be bad in the long run since wines are sensitive to vibration (and sound is vibration). So if you have really expensive stuff, you might want to find another alternative. Also, the fridge is just deep enough to place bottles on their sides. When you lay a bottle on it's side, the top or bottom is probably less than 1/2 inch from the back panel of the fridge where all the vibration is occurring. You could wrap the bottles in foam or bubble wrap to help with the vibration, but that would severely reduce the number of bottles you can get in the fridge. The manual says that the temp display reflects the temperature at the center of the refrigerator, and the temps can fluctuate by +/- 7 degrees at the top to the bottom. That's a pretty big spread. The manual says the best ambient/room temp for the fridge is 75 degrees or less for proper performance. This is a problem in warm climates or during the summer months. We live in a warm climate and that is likely why it took 12+ hours for the fridge to chill to the temp we set and this is probably also why it never cycles off. The temps in the fridge may rise and fall with the daily temperature, which could damage the wine. I think saying you can fit 18 bottles of wine in this is optimistic. You have to allow a lot of space between shelves for bigger bottles of wine (such as champagne) and also to be able to slide the bottles out to remove them without rubbing off/damaging the label on the shelf above the bottle you're removing. The top portion of the unit is delivered with a tiered shelf that looks like it fits 4 bottles of wine. But the height of the bottom shelf is too low to even put a bottle in there. I'm still trying to figure out it you can remove that top shelving unit that's delivered installed in the unit, and replace it with some of the single shelves that shipped with the unit. A different configuration would allow you to put more bottles in the top part of the fridge. Right now in the bottom portion of the unit we are able to store three (3) bottles of champagne and two (2) bottles of white; in the top portion we are able to store four (4) bottles of red. That's a total of nine (9) bottles. If I had this to do over again I would not buy the unit.

Very pleased with the wine fridge
Very pleased with the wine fridge!! It is compact, fitting our narrow space perfectly and additionally is very sleek and attractive. The packaging was easy to remove and protected the product well. It seemed unstable at first but there are adjustable legs that help to balance it. Once fully loaded with wine, it is plenty stable. Everything is running properly, the temperature is perfect. One of the reviews I read indicated it was loud. Not our experience at all. It operates with a very low hum, like any appliance. We couldn't be happier! Cheers!
