Pro Adjustable Heater,150W

When I first started keeping fish, I had already spent a ton of money on the tanks, fish, filtration systems, etc. I went cheap with the heaters. Less than two years later I find myself replace two of the heaters in my four tanks. This time I went with the Aqueon Pro Heater which is shatter proof (no glass), includes a thermostat with a temperature gauge and I trust will last because I trust Aqueon. I have one in one of my tanks- it was inherited when I bought the tank and all of the accessories from a friend. I like the fact that it has a thermostat with a temperature setting that is pretty much spot on. I have it set to 80º and it keeps the temperature right there. There is a light on that is red when the tank temperature has fallen below the set point and green when the tank is at the set point.The first heater I got from Amazon did not hold the temperature properly. It was several degrees below the set point even after two days of cycling. I called Aqueon who offered to replace it, but suggested I could return it to Amazon which I did. Amazon overnighted a replacement to me and the next day I had that one installed and it is working great.These are a little more expensive than you can find similar heaters for, but I think it's worth it for three reasons.1.) I've already replaced two of the glass heaters I had in my other tanks in less than two years. They didn't crack. I took great care with them. One stopped working completely. The other had condensation in it and while it was working, I was worried it would quit at any minute.2.) They are accurate. Even though you should have a separate thermometer in your tank, it's nice to have a set point on your heater that actually corresponds to a temperature you can read.3.) Aqueon has great customer support and warranty coverage. I have had an Aqueon Flourescent light that I called in for support on and got great help. I have had an Aqueon water changer which broke after nearly two years of use and Aqueon replaced at no charge and I got great support when I called in about the heater that was not working properly. I am confident that if/when this heater should have a problem after the return period with Amazon, Aqueon will stand behind it. I'm an Aqueon customer for life.

So far so good. Most heaters work the same and I’ve bought a lot off amazon and the prices are just so much better than the pet stores. But I’ve definitely learned from my past mistakes of getting glass heaters. Every single glass heater I’ve purchased has cracked whenever the water level gets too low to cover the glass element of the heater. So I definitely had that in mind when purchasing this one. So far I love the design and my fish seem to love it too. It’s been about 6 months that I’ve been looking for a new one and the all one piece hard plastic construction of this one is definitely what I needed. I’ll admit I’m lazy and I sometimes let my water levels drop an inch or two before I’ll add new water so I really like the durability of this one so when I’m in a mood to do a water change or just add fresh water in general I won’t have the headache of worrying if the heater is gonna break or start to leak water. This one you can literally set it and forget it. There’s an led indicator light on it so you know it’s working. It’s a slim design. I have a y’all 15 gallon tank and it the first one I’ve purchased that I feels goes deep enough into my tank to warm a large area of the water. I generally place it at the back of the tank vertically but I believe if you have a shorter tank that you can place it horizontally as well and it will still cover a good portion of your tank. I’m looking forward to seeing the durability and longevity of this heater but so far it’s been the best heater as far as quality and design that I’ve purchased through amazon.Update****It’s been about a week with this filter and I absolutely am still in love with this thing. Just saw that it had a lil led light in it to let you know that it’s working. My fish seem to love it and and hang around it during the day. You can literally set it and forget it. I got the 150 watt apparently in a 15 gallon tall column tank and it fits like a glove vertically in my tank. About two inches from the glass bottom and two inches from the rim so it covers a large surface area to better warm the water. The plastics look and feel very durable and I hope to have this thing for a long time. I plan on getting a larger tank some time next year and I’m definitely putting this on my list to repurchase for a new the setup.

I purchase 2 of the 150watt heaters about 4 yesrs ago. They have been working great! Very accurate temp reading, they do what they are supposed to. Well a few weeks ago one of the heaters stopped working. I had a smart thermometer installed in the tank to notify me if the temp got too cold. Thats when I noticed one of the heaters wasnt working. I reached out to the manufacturer, explained to them I was having issues. Within 3 days, they sent me a brand new heater as a replacement! These heaters have a lifetime guarantee!! You cant beat that. You have to provide some purchase details so they can verify the purchase but it was very easy, and very quick. They priority shipped the new one, no back and forth contacting or arguing with them! I’m so pleased with aqeuon and how they stand by their product. I will continue to use them going forward! If you are contemplating purchasing their product, do it! When I was purchasing 4 years ago there were cheaper models and cheaper heaters I could have went with, but I am so glad I paid the few bucks more and got a quality product WITH A LIFETIME (no hassle) GUARANTEE!! This is an excellent aquarium heater. I got the pro 150 and it's in my 40 gallon breeder tank. I bought it in 2007 and it worked perfectly until 2023. Got ahold of aqueon and in a few days had a new one for free. I run it at 79°, it's consistent as I have a digital thermometer in tank that I check daily. You can't beat the price, or the quality of this product. 5 stars all the way around. A big thanks to Valerie at aqeon for taking care of the warranty also.Buy it yiu won't regret it.

Loving this! I went a bit overboard and got the 150W for my 29 gal. I wanted it to heat properly without being pushed too hard, making it last as long as possible. It's fine because I have a tall tank, but if you have a normal or wide tank, it'll be too long for sure. You'd better get a 100W. The dial is accurate and matches the temperature of my tank's thermometer. Also I love the fact that it turns itself off if you take it out of the water, because I lost a glass heater that way as it exploded when I put it back in the tank after I forgot to unplug it, which is exactly why I got this one to replace it.

The temperature doesn't come out the same as the setting says, but it does keep the aquarium at the constant temperature. This is one of the best submersible heaters. Safe and one of the best reputations. Best on the market in spite of the temperature.

Excellent heater for a 46gal tank, keeps the temperature at a consistent level. I coupled it up with a digital thermometer just to ensure it kept the tank at the set temp night and day. Works great!!

Robust, simple to operate, works as it should. I use it to regulate temperature of a water bath in wich are immersed bottles containing film developping chemicals.Nice purchase.
