I paid about ten bucks for it and probably used it about five times before it broke. I was making my morning smoothie for work when the blade fitting decided to come apart at the bottom and spray its contents on me and my kitchen before work. True story! It just happened this morning and I'm at work right now cursing this blenders name!!!!! Review: let me count the ways - I stumbled upon this review opportunity while searching for replacement parts for my GTC 6-Speed blender; that should tell you something (replacement parts). The first thing that went wrong (a couple weeks after purchase) was that the little plastic tabs on the handy removable filler cap broke. The second problem (about a month later - we only used the thing once or twice a week at most) was one of the stainless steel Ice Crushing Blades broke (while I was crushing ice, as it turns out). I figured the remaining three could do the job. But the real kicker was a few weeks after the blade broke out, while I was blending a frozen strawberry daiquiri, I heard an unpleasant grinding sound. I stopped blending at once and decided the ice was crushed enough, so I lifted the pitcher and the bottom fell out. Dang - that was my last lemon, too. And that's what you get with a $20 blender.

FYI: The "shatter-resistant" blender jar ISN'T.
The blender was ok, not the best we'd ever used, but ok for the purpose at hand. Until the day one of us twitched and knocked over the blender jar. Wow. We're talking millions upon millions of pieces. Everywhere. We salvaged the blade mechanism from the rubble and are now looking for a replacement blender jar. Wish us luck ...
