Are the boots waterproof?

They actually can stand up to rain pretty well! I've definitely worn them outside when it's raining and my feet stay totally dry, for short periods. I wouldn't wear them as rain boots though. I'd say they are highly water resistant.

Can I wear these in rain? Or would I ruin them?

I need a wide calf, but a normal width foot. Does the 7W refer to the calf width or the foot width?

7W is the width your FOOT. If you need a wide calf, as I do, the tab just inside the boot will read "7WWC". 7 wide, wide calf. We wear the exact same boot. I have two pairs that were correct, one that was incorrectly described. The wide width is the SAME as shoes. The calf describes that thing on your leg. The wife calf. The calf muscle.
