This on is a full 36 in and gives you plenty of room for cards, drinks etc. The surface is solid . You don't need a gap running down the center if you are using it for cards. Unlike many others that fold in the center this one has a nice clean flat surface. The legs fold into the to op and it only takes up about 2" deep by 36 " sq for storage.
