"Will have fans groaning aloud for the next installment." --ALA Booklist And don't miss Watch Me , the first book in a new series in the Shatter Me universe set ten years after the fall of The Reestablishment, on sale in April 2025! Review: Best Books ive ever read. - THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR CHILDREN!>>> Just in case any parents are looking at this book. I have read this whole series in four days because i love it so much. Absolutely i agree the book does go on and on about W and J relationship but to be honest i kind of enjoyed that. Also when i realised the perspective was going to change between W and J i was sort of doubting how well it would contrast because in previous books i have read you literally could not tell who was "talking" because the language would be so similar but Tahereah really nailed that insanely difficult writing tecnique. This book takes a step back from the action (apart from the end!) and focuses on the romantic side. I will say though throughout the whole series i strugle to picture how the base and compounds are set out, like the distance and the court yard they talk about ????? But it is still really descriptive. i seriously rushed to the comments and my computer to make sure that this series would continue because this cannot end on this cliffhanger. only thing i am angry at is the fact that i am now going to have to wait a good few months for the fith book to come out which means i will most likey have to reread these books before hand to refresh my memory. sad times. overall best books ive ever read and the books that i have been searching for for a long time now: a perfect mix of heart racing romance AND heart racing action. Xx Review: What did I just read - This series is getting better and better with every book. The ending of this book had my thoughts racing, confused. I can't wait to start the next one.

Individually parts were great, but didn't really come together to create something notable.
I'm honestly so confused by this book, I felt like nothing really happened until just over the halfway mark. The first half felt like Juliette and Warner were just spilling all of their thoughts and feelings to the reader in verbal diarrhoea fashion. And yet they barley spoke to each other about anything, which I found quite bizarre, given how strong their relationship was at the end of Ignite Me. I fully understand the complex emotions that both J and W are experiencing after everything that happened in Ignite Me, but the first half of the book was literally pages and pages of them feeling low, confused and scared. It was quite boring and frustrating after a while to keep reading about the inner turmoil that they were facing, and it was almost as if 'sexy' scenes were put in to try and compensate for this. I was so excited for this, that I even read Ignite Me again (which was still amazing) to prepare myself, but this just made the problems with Restore Me even more obvious and disappointing. These once beloved characters just weren't the same for me, a part from Kenji, thank god for Kenji! But even he seemed different, almost played up a bit to contrast Juliette and Warners sombre moods. With Juliette it was as if all the personal progress she'd made in the previous books had disappeared and she was quite irritating at times, until half way in and she sort of remembered how powerful she was. In regards to Warner, we were given alternating chapters between him and Juliette, which unfortunately didn't work in his favour. I'm not quite sure why I didn't really take to his chapters, maybe I just preferred reading from J's point of view. Or perhaps it's because Warner has one of those personalities that is more intriguing when captured by others, and left with an air of mystery. Reading from his point of view just made me feel sorry for him more than anything. It also greatly annoyed me how Juliette and Warner treated Castle, like the dude's trying to help you and you both clearly need it! As others have said, there wasn't really any mention or appearances of previous characters, which was disappointing. And the new characters introduced weren't fleshed out that well, but I do think they have potential. Things definitely got more exciting towards the end of the novel, but ultimately it had quite a scattered plot line. Juliette and Warner's relationship took centre stage and to my surprise, I'd have preferred it didn't. Big revelations fell a bit flat for me as I just wasn't that invested in this book, things either happened far too fast to properly react to anything. Or things dragged on for so long that my interest was lost. I kept finding myself looking at how much of the book I had left and thinking, what big event could happen in this remaining section to make this worthwhile. I'm still not sure I found it to be honest, I feel like nothing was resolved or achieved a part from secrets coming to light. Overall I didn't hate it as I think Tahereh Mafi truly has a way with words. So individually parts were great, but didn't really come together to create something notable. Having said that I will read the next installment to see where Mafi takes these characters and this story. However a part of me kind of wishes that I could just pretend that Ignite Me was the end.

Mixed emotions
I adore the shatter me series and was thrilled to learn Tahereh was adding another three books to the collection. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading this book but at the same time felt a little disappointed. I feel there is too much focus on Warner and Juliettes relationship instead of expanding on the bigger picture so to speak. But we will see what the next two books have to offer

I eventually gave this 5 stars but it’s more of a 4.5.
I didn’t really like the character of Juliette in this book, she was wrongly overly confident and not the Juliette I recognised which has caused major problems for absolutely EVERYONE. I like Aaron Warner more and more with each book but it’s the character of Kenji that appeals to me most. He definitely has the best lines and I laughed out loud numerous times reading this despite the gravity of their situation. I’m going straight on to the next book without pause because the story has me hooked.

This. Forever. This. <3
OH. MEIN. GOTT. … … … LEUTE!!! "This, I think, is the way to die. I could drown in this moment and I’d never regret it. I could catch fire from this kiss and happily turn to ash. I could live here, die here, right here, against his hips, his lips. In the emotion in his eyes as he sinks into me, his heartbeats indistinguishable from mine. This. Forever. This." "I have a great fear of drowning in the ocean of my own silence. In the steady thrum that accompanies quiet, my mind is unkind to me. I think too much. I feel, perhaps, far more than I should. It would be only a slight exaggeration to say that my goal in life is to outrun my mind, my memories. So I have to keep moving." *an der Stelle nicht mehr verraten darf* "There’s a part of me that wants to rip his history open. I want to know the good and the bad and just get all the secrets out and be done with it. Because right now I feel certain that my imagination is much more dangerous than any of his truths." "And I have no idea what I’m doing. But if I don’t learn how to manage these many relationships? If I don’t at least pretend to have even the slightest idea of how I’m going to rule? The rest of the world could so easily destroy me. And sometimes I’m not sure I’ll make it out of this alive." "All day – and for the last couple of weeks – I’ve felt like an imposter. A child. I hate how easily I fade in and out of confidence, how I waver between who I was and who I could be. My past still clings to me, skeleton hands holding me back even as I push forward into the light." „So, uh, you’ve been in other relationships? Before Juliette?" I tilt my head at him. „You find that hard to believe.“ „I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you have feelings, so yeah, I find that hard to believe.“ — Position 2.822 (Kenji und Warner) Kenjis Ratschläge an Warner sind grandios und ich habe die Bromance-Szene so gespannt und intensiv verfolgt wie kaum eine Szene in irgendeinem Buch zuvor. Deshalb: Kenji for president! Kenji for new Supreme Commander! *Fanclub gründ* „You’re setting yourself up for a lifetime of pain, bro. You can’t keep living like this. This,“ he says, pointing at my face, „this old you? This messed-up dude who never talks and never smiles and never says anything nice and never allows anyone to really know him – you can’t be this guy if you want to be in any kind of relationship.“ — Position 2.816 (Kenji zu Warner) Der einmalige Schreibstil Tahereh Mafi ist eine wahre WORTGÖTTIN!!! Forever. This. :D <3

I need the next book and I need it now
I LOVED THIS BOOK. I REPEAT: I LOVED THIS BOOK. No one is more surprised than me by just how much I loved this book. In fact, I am so fond of this book that I wanted to immediately start reading it again as soon as I finished reading it. Honestly, the Shatter Me series has never been one of my favorites. Sure, I like it, and I was excited when I saw the news that Tahereh Mafi was planning on releasing (3?) new books in the series, but I wasn’t excited to the point of being over the moon about the new additions. It’s been a while since I have read the original three books in this series, and at some point (hopefully soon) I need to go back and give them a reread to see if my opinions on each book has changed. I really loved the third book in the series, Ignite Me (BECAUSE, WARNETTE) but from what I can remember, I thought the first book was just okay, while I had a hard time making it through Unravel Me, the second book in the series. But there is one thing I have loved about each of the books in the series, despite any negative opinions I may have had, and that is Tahereh’s beautiful writing style. Her writing is just so unique, and it is that very reason that I continued reading this series, despite the fact that I wasn’t captivated by the plot of the first book. Restore Me follows the aftermath of the events of Ignite Me, and shit gets real. I loved everything about this book. The plot. The character development. The Writing. It was so interesting to see how Juliette, a 17 year old, would handle all the power suddenly at her exposure, as she is the new head of Sector 45. This book is told in alternating view points, from the perspectives of Juliette and Warner. I really love that Tahereh decided to tell the story this way and give us glimpse into their thoughts and everything they were feeling, as they both had so much going on, internally and externally. In the midst of everything they are already dealing with, they hit some snags in their relationship, and although I wanted them to be living happily ever after forever and ever with no problems whatsoever, the relationship problems they are facing are very realistic and its understandable that the problems in which they are facing come into play. (But they better get that happily ever after!) Due to everything Juliette and Warner are dealing with, and everything that they have endured within their pasts, they are both naturally struggling with anxiety, and I was especially drawn towards Warner’s struggles with anxiety. Everything he was feeling in regards to his anxiety was understandable, given everything he has been through in life, and the way in which his anxiety was described was just so painfully real. As someone who struggles with anxiety on a daily basis, I was very impressed with the way in which Tahereh described what its like to be suffocated by anxiety. I wanted to reach into the pages of this book and give Warner a hug. As for my thoughts on Juliette: she is wonderful and amazing and so strong and I am so proud of her for everything she has overcome and everything that she has achieved thus far and I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next. You are doing amazing sweetie, and I am rooting for you every step of the way. This book also features some of my favorite chapters/scenes from the Shatter Me series so far. The scenes I speak of all are scenes that include Warner/Juliette and Warner/Kenji. Also: Kenji is his usual wonderful, perfect self and my love for him continues to grow as the series progresses. Just wanted to throw that out there. AND THAT ENDING. I am still at a loss for words. I need the next book and I need it now! Okay, I am going to end this review here, as I know what I have written is a rambling mess and I will more than likely come back and edit the entire thing at some point. I just want it to be known that I loved Restore Me and I will be impatiently counting down the days until the release of the next book!

Awesome book 4 of this series
Excellent. This book had me hooked from the first page to the last one. The writing is captivating. There's not much action but having Warner POV is awesome. I loved how they are together and how their relationship evolve. A lot of is going on in the heads and hearts of our main characters. I love the story, how unperfected the main characters are and how they deal with every new situation they face. Kenji is the only character I can't stand. I used to loved him in the first two books but now he's become annoying and interfering. But still, I'm still loving these books.
