Works Good
These work really well. One is on the porce, usually comes on right before gets dark dark, dunno when shuts off. It's in a pretty opaque glass container, but adjusts to light well enough. Good brigtness, decent price. There's no motion detection, just reacts to light levels. Wouldn't recommend for kitchen, turns off and on when certain level of darkness outside via window, ha. Didn't seem effected by other kitchen light for some reason. Definitely good for outside so far.

Works as advertised!
Works as advertised! Motion detector is perfectly sensitive for my front porch and the light is nice and bright. The light stays on for just the right length of time (30-45 seconds).

Works Well - Range of Sensor is Just Right - See UPDATES regarding advice to prevent failure
Having tried an adapter with an integrated sensor used with a non-sensing bulb, I found that the application at hand had a socket that partially covered the sensor on the adapter and thus failed to meet the need. So, this product, with an internal sensor, turned out to be a great choice. The light levels that trip the sensor on and off correspond to dusk and dawn for a fixture that is on a covered porch. The 3000K color temperature is warm enough to emulate that of an old-tech incandescent bulb. The 100w equivalent rating is justified - almost too bright, so if there were a 75w equivalent that might be a better choice. All-in-all, great. Highly recommended. I'll let you know in 20 years when this bulb is expected to expire. UPDATE: About a week into the application described above, the first bulb failed - will not light up under any circumstance. The test is valid because the second bulb lights up in the dark as it should under identical conditions. One week is not "twenty years." UPDATE #2: The failure reported in the above UPDATE was preventable. After exchanges of messages with the seller, and the astoundingly clear and open communication on the part of the seller, I understood that these bulbs are unlikely to be compatible with fixtures that have a dimmer in their circuits. Running the bulb at less than full brightness (accidentally) apparently fried the first bulb and it is not usable. The second bulb displayed a lot of flashing at some point, but it has survived. I thus attribute the problem to my ignorance of the dimmer incompatibility, not the product quality. I did recommend that the seller make it clear in the listing that it is likely the bulbs will fail with dimmers, perhaps not all, but even if they do work the dimmers should be kept at full brightness. My thanks to the seller for enduring this adventure with me, and for clarifying the problem. Excellent customer care!

It’s very bright. Read instructions to get to work as ordered it to be.
Very bright. Have on front porch it does light with motion. I dint think I’ve figured out yet how to get the dusk to dawn works. I also just inserted into owners light fixture. I may need to remove fixture for best results. However for the motion , it dies work great and it’s very bright.

Worked as described even in a partial glass enclosure
Bright white light, great value for money (on sale for aboiut $10 for 2). Worked in an outdoor carriage lamp wth an open bottom. The bulb was about 2 inches from (above) the bottom so I was prepared to get a socket extender or something to make it stick out but it wasn't needed. I'm not sure of the range but at least about 10 feet away it picked up motion and went on. Would buy again and so much easier than replacing the lamp.

Great idea, but bottom of bulb must be exposed to work correctly
After a recent spate of attempted break-ins in my area, I started leaving my porch lights on. This quickly became a pain because I had to remember to turn them off in the morning and on in the evening. I wanted a motion sensitive solution, but didn't want to change my existing fixtures. While researching options, I came across these bulbs, which seemed like a great solution for my rear light. I simply replaced the existing bulb with one of these and left the porch light switch on. The passive infrared sensor in the light bulb with cause it to illuminate when a warm, moving body, (human or animal), enters its field of view. An additional light sensor in the bulb detects if the light is needed so that it won't turn on if it's light out. It works well, but be aware of two things. First, the bottom of the bulb must be exposed for it to work at all. It will NOT work in an enclosed light fixture. This is just how the technology functions. Second, the horizontal distance from the bulb that can be sensed depends upon how high the bulb is. The higher it is, the wider the area that will trigger the light. At about seven feet high, my experience is that it detects about a six-foot radius. It works exactly as advertised, and I may buy more in the future. BTW, I placed the second bulb of the two-bulb pack into my pantry, as I am constantly forgetting to turn the light off after I've been inside. Now, I just leave the light switch on, and the light comes on when I walk in, and turns itself off when I exit.

Dusk to dawn and motion activated. They work
Mixed results with these. I had one that failed after only a couple days. It was replaced and no failure issues with the new ones. The sensitivity and range is impressive, maybe even too impressive. Mine are often activated by vehicle traffic about 40 feet away. That could be, or less than good depending on your situation.

Terrible experience, the description stated pack of 3 and I only received 2. Both bulbs in cool white instead of warm white. What a waste of time!

These bulbs work better than I expected. They're very sensitive, and they work even when the sensor is inside a glass fixture, as long as the bottom is open. At first I thought I'd have to get a socket extension so that the entire sensor would be on the outside, but it turns out I don't need it.
