Man Purse
There, I said it. I may catch heck for it, but I'm just calling like I see it. I also have to say that there isn't a bit of shame in calling it what it is. Being as much a gearhead as any man, I've always envied a woman's ability to have with her in her purse nearly everything imaginable: What seems to be an entire Nordstrom's cosmetics counter-worth of powders, make-up, and tubes of God-knows-what; a dozen pens; about $50 in loose change; at least 200 old receipts (I have no idea why); clothes, snacks, checkbooks, calendar, phone, MP3 player with sport headphones, photos, food.... and a million other things. I've always thought, how cool would it be to be able to carry around things that actually matter? Like multi-tools, fire starters, flashlights, knives, etc. You know, Man Things. Enter the Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organizer. Now, I'm a contractor and during work I carry a lot of things on my belt. During off hours, though, I have to admit that I don't want to carry everything I consider necessary (refer to Man Things list above) on my person in various pockets. I tried that once, and confidently strode around the house in my BDU's, pockets filled with everything I thought a responsible, well-prepared man should carry. Well, my wife asked me if it was the end of the world or something and made me feel small about being so prepared. Pffft. Women just don't understand. Where this EDC organizer comes in is it allows you to have with you - or very near you - all those things that are either impractical to have with you at work or when dressing casual or when your friends make you feel ridiculous for wearing them all over your 5.11 tactical vest. No, it's not quite as good as having these things on your person if you really, truly need then RIGHT NOW. But how often does that happen? Hasn't happened to me yet. Most of the time, it's close enough to have them in my truck, nearby. Let's face it, there are times - like when my wife drags me to the opera - that it's just plain awkward to have my EDC folder, Leatherman, flashlight, etc. on my person. It can also be an advantage having everything in one place: Need to take a different car, or going someplace in your buddies car? Grab this mini go-pouch and you're prepared. Others have done an excellent job of listing contents and posting pictures. I've got all that stuff in my EDC organizer, with slight variation. The case itself is made of high-denier nylon and opens up clamshell style with the help of a strong zipper with two pulls, useful lanyards included. The stitching is thick and nicely done throughout. In addition to two inner pockets, there are many stitched, wide elastic straps on both sides of the inside to hold all your gear. There is also a small loop on the inside and a key holder with strap. The outside has a useful see-through mesh pocket on the front with a hook and loop closure. There is also a large loop patch on the outside to accommodate a hook-backed badge or patch. The whole case has a beefy nylon strap for carrying. While it could fit in some cargo pockets, I find it impractical to do that with mine when it is fully loaded. It is simply too heavy and bulky to do that comfortably. Besides, if I'm wearing my BDU's, I would probably have most of the gear separately on my person, in pockets or holsters. I wouldn't use this when hiking, or backpacking - I use it mainly for transporting from location to location with the intent of having my gear very close, when it's not actually on my person. One note of caution on the clamshell design: Just about everything I have in there is metal and when the unit is closed, everything rubs together. You can help solve this by having a small rag or cloth diaper to put between the halves. (Cloth diapers - another essential item. Witness your wife's astonishment when you whip out a diaper and wipes from among your other survival tools in your man pack to tend to your infant's wet shorts. Priceless) So, while I consider it ideal to have all your EDC gear on your person, the ideal rarely happens for this reviewer. Instead I consider this EDC organizer essential gear. Because having all your essential EDC gear nearby is a whole lot better than having it at home where you can't get at it when you're out and about. Tough, useful, Manly, and priced right... and an easy five stars.

I think the price is right for a quality EDC pouch, so happy with it.
Very well made, I love all the pockets! Just the right size for my EDC stuff.

Great medium sized pouch!
You can fit a lot in the edc pouch. Have mine loaded with first aid gear and plenty for my needs as a secondary kit. Zippers are very smooth as I've always found woth maxpedition gear. It's a bit too large for pocket carry but great to drop into a work backpack for some basic needs. Would also work great as an electronics bag with a portable charger and some cables for different devices.

Good quality
Even though I've carried the usual things a guy carries for years (wallet, knife, cellphone) I've always been jealous of the amount of USELESS CRAP a woman can carry in her purse. As another reviewer said this is kind of like a "man purse." Not in the sense that you're going to be slinging it over your shoulder and asking your significant other to hold it while you try on bras. It's a practical, organized way to carry quite a bit of the stuff you always wished you could. Mind you, this is not really meant to be a wallet, or a cellphone holster. Sure, you could put your money and cellphone in it but you really don't want to be getting into this pouch every 5 minutes. The organizer it's self is built really well, it feels very durable. The amount of elastic divisions is nice compared to other organizers. Size-wise though... I knew the dimensions of this organizer before I ordered it, measured my cargo pocket to make sure it would fit and it does. But, it's not as discrete as I was hoping. I keep it in my right cargo pocket and you can definitely tell by looking I have got something fairly large crammed in there. In hindsight, I wish I would have ordered the mini (even though it's almost the same price as this full-sized one.) So, if you're looking to be inconspicuous you might want to order the mini, or maybe even the micro if everything you want to put in it is small enough. Also, the hand loop is really annoying. Sure, I could get a seam popper and take it off, but what if I need it one day? Still, it's annoying. There's not a lot you can do with it either, aside from living with it or taking it off. All in all this is a very good pocket organizer. It might cost a bit more than most of the other organizers but the elastic divisions on the right panel are worth it.

Expensive
Maxpedition makes great quality cases but there are far better ones for the value. The prices of these just aren’t worth it.

Beautifully made, great features, and convenient to carry
I have a desk job that involves a great deal of writing, so I wanted the Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer mostly to ensure that I have a variety of writing supplies with me at all times. I watched a number of online videos and looked at the pictures here, and I was unsure whether the Maxpedition was right for me. Most people seemed to be using them to carrying guns/ammo or other survival type supplies. I am not an outdoorsy type, and the only emergency supplies I ever need is change for coffee. However, given the reasonable price of the Maxpedition, I decided to take a chance because it seemed to be the right size and had various features that I wanted. Plus, reviewers all seemed to agree that the pouch is supremely sturdy; indeed, it is extremely well built and shows absolutely no signs of wear after several months of daily use. I have filled the elastic loops of my E.D.C. with a plethora of pens of various colors and styles (a fountain pen, felt tip, ballpoint, marker, highlighter) as well as pencils, a stylus for my Kindle Fire, and a few other odds and ends (tweezers, a pen light, click eraser, small scissors). The pens and other items fit snuggly into the elastic loops; the right side has several larger loops perfect for markers and other wider objects. A small hook can be used for keys - I attach a flashdrive to it. The pouches on either side hold a small notebook, post its, and a few other items (pencil sharpener, wet wipes). I was concerned that the E.D.C. would not zip close or would bulge or that the notebook would get bent, but it all comes together perfectly. Everything fits neatly in its designated place, and I never forget to replace the items when I'm finished because it's obvious when something is missing from the kit. My other concern in purchasing an E.D.C. was the issue of carrying a "man purse." Fortunately, the Maxpedition really does not look very purse-like in my estimation. Even if one was to carry it by the top loop, it doesn't really resemble a purse. In fact, my Kindle cases tend to look more purse-y. I tend to carry the E.D.C. on top of my dayrunner, so it looks like a kit of some sort. It also fits nicely into my briefcase. I'm extremely pleased with the Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer. It is just the right size for everything I want to carry without being too heavy or awkward to carry. It's allowed me very easily to make the transition to using an E.D.C. on an everyday basis. I'm so pleased with it that I hope to purchase a Maxpedition Versipack in the near future.

Awesome grab and go for smaller items
I bought this item because I have a number of fairly small survival items in my daily carry backpack currently and wanted the ability to easily locate, and transfer those items to other packs, cars, etc.. easily. Things are usually pretty hectic at my house in the mornings, and this is one less thing I now have to think about. I carry a small backpack to work with me every day which includes a combination of work related items... books, software, lunch for example, but I also wanted the ability to carry some non-work related items that in a pinch, should see me home safely regardless of where I am, as long as I know exactly where those items are and I have remembered to take them with me. So far, my pocket organizer has a Kershaw folding knife, a small flashlight, and the adventure medical kits pocket survival pak, which fits either of the 2 large pockets in the maxpedition case like a glove and contains numerous items itself. I've only used maybe 30 percent of the available space. To this, I added the CRKT Mk5 knife here on Amazon. There is ample, additional room for just about anything that would normally be floating around in your pocket or otherwise lost in a backpack. When I go camping, this is going in the tent with me at night. I've seen several reviews of this item on youtube where people cram this thing full of pencils, sharpies, pens, little notebooks, etc and while it's great for that I'm sure, for me this is mostly going to be eating my grab and go 'survival gear / med kit' items, well at least the small ones. This organizer was obviously designed to take abuse in the field, as it is tough and attachable to Molle style packs, that in itself isn't really that useful for me personally, but if you did want to hang this off your Alice pack or whatever, that won't be a problem. This is the first Maxpedition item I have purchased and so far, I cannot find one thing to fault with this product. After seeing all of the other products maxpedition carries, I can say for certain, I will be buying some of their other items. 5 stars for this one. Shipped and delivered within 48 hours of ordering (amazon prime 2 day free shipping). This little guy is going to follow me around for a while.

Easily a Great Purchase!!!
Purchased for my 7 year old son as his "EDC" for camping. He feels like Bear Grylls, his words not mine. Carries all the things he needs and then some. You can really pack this little pocket organizer. It is made of superior quality and will organize your items make finding them easier. Highly recommend this for a multitude of reasons.

E' estremamente funzionale
