Be an idiot just like I was. *by A***R on January 31, 2018* If you're new to soldering, this is a must have for removing surface mount ICs. I SEVERELY damaged a customer's YSUS board trying to remove a shorted 100 pin TQFP. I had used my Quick 861D a few dozen times at that point, and never needed any Fast Chip. After heating the area for way too long and the IC not releasing, I could smell burning substrate. Then I panicked and used too much leverage. The chip came up bringing about two dozen pads and traces with it. It cost $114.00 to replace the board I destroyed. Plus, I had to tell a paying customer that I ruined their equipment. You learn things in this business everyday, but learn from my mistake instead of making it yourself. I use a little of this on every chip that looks like it might put up a fight and it never fails to do the job. It only takes a small amount and this size tube will last a long time. If you solder as hobby or for business, you need this. It is worth it's weight in gold.
