Zippo Vintage Lighters

As expected

I bought this because I no longer smoke, so I don't really buy lighters. I have been using a box of match sticks to light my charcoal chimney but the box is so old it is falling apart and getting harder and harder to get a match to light. This is the 3rd zippo that I have owned in my life. First one, lost it when I was driving down the road and tossed it instead of the cigarette. Second one, I probably still have, but it is stuffed somewhere deep in a box when I moved years ago (I had never actually used that one) and now this one. When I bought it, I wasn't thinking so didn't buy fluid for it. Finally got fluid for it today. It has been years since I had filled one, so of course I over filled that bad boy. Set it aside for about 15 or 20 minutes (if you haven't over filled a zippo and seen what happens, you haven't lived LOL) Strike it up and it worked like a charm on first strike. I chose this model because I love the classic look. I didn't need to research it or anything because like craftsman tools, you know a Zippo will not only work first time every time, but they come with a lifetime warranty. This thing is built solid and will provide you a life time of happy flames. Maybe even pass down to you grandchildren, because it will last that long! I highly recommend this model if you like the classic look.

It’s ok

A friend showed me his new zippo with the soft flame butane insert. PERFECT! I am in my sixties and I remember giving up my zippo over the fuel leaking issue. Always loved the lighter but there is no fun in having lighter fuel spill into your pocket. This new insert is the same reliable flame but with no spillage issue. The problem was that I had to buy a complete new lighter with the old style insert and then also buy the butane insert. I know that to some folks that makes perfect sense because you make more money that way. However I got the message loud and clear, F you very much for doing business with us. I like the product but you hurt your brand with me.

I like the Zippo for its Slash at the corner which you do see in any lighter, and the Zippo is Sterling Silver! Fits perfectly in the Jeans 3rd. small front pocket.

I adore this lighter. I have something of a fascination with the worn down and aged. Things that reject the idea of having to be plastic perfect. Things that almost ask to be scuffed up a bit. This Zippo definitely falls into the category. It just straddles the line between martini and moonshine. The brass finish looks great out of the box and I got a ton of compliments on it. I guess most people are used to the standard chrome finish and gaudy designs often found on Zippo Lighters today. I've had it about a year and it still works without a single hiccup. I've banged it around a bit, however, the lighter wears its battle scars well. The scuffs, dents and so on don't subtract from its aesthetics, but add to it. I really do love this lighter and I highly recommend it to anyone on the cusp. It was a bit annoying to buy the Zippo lighter fluid separately, but that is to be expected. It wasn't too expensive and has lasted me a year with no signs of running out.

Purchased as a gift fro my brother to add to his cigar lighting arsenal. Reliable Zippo quality manufacturing providing an easy to use and consistent fast lighting flame. Insert is wel fitted as you would expect from zippo and is easy to fill/replace flint if required. I purchased him the Brass version so this is no doubt a sturdy and durable finish that will keep its smooth and classy look. As I said it’s easily refillable with lighter fluid and functions flawlessly

Lighter sparks but flame doesn't appear. Not as promised.

Es un encendedor precioso. Lo elegí con acabado cepillado para evitar las marcas de los dedos. Tiene un brillo mate elegante que destaca las diagonales de las esquinas, éstas un poco más cuadradas que en los demás modelos. Los ajustes de la tapa con el cuerpo y del "Insert" son perfectos. No viene precintado (creo que la marca de precinto sólo es obligatoria para Estados Unidos), pero para mí es un verdadero Zippo: el sonido característico, el dibujo en aspa de la rosca de la rueda, que viene con sus marcas de montaje en uno de sus lados, los grabados profundos y limpios en la base y en el "insert", el fieltro con letras rojas, la textura suave de la caja de embalaje y su hoja de garantía de por vida.
