If you force override it somehow then it’ll work at whatever resolution. You need to find a solution for your specific drivers and xorg/wayland/whatever. If you have nvidia drivers for example then you should be able to just go into the nvidia settings tool and add a custom resolution. Perhaps there is a way to force it with xrandr if you are using xorg. Hope any of that helps in some way **Q: Does the DisplayPort dongle support 2560x1600 at 60hz?** A: The top resolution selectable on the 1080p version (which I have) for RealVNC server is 1920x1080 in Windows. Unsure about other OS. RDP is flexible and creates a resolution that corresponds to your local machine. Hence a 1080p dongle on the server will still give me 2560x1440 on the local.
