The box and 1 page of how to use manual have no mention of weight limit... No mention of the word weight in the verbiage... I am 149 and was 165 before WW program 2 yrs ago.  I think I could comprehend if larger person (someone further along than rubbing legs together when walking or additional difficulty in crossing legs) may find foot placement on foot guides awkward with bare feet ... Probably overcome / eliminate this odd foot placement, if someone would wear sport shoes with gripping bottoms. (Remember it's Asian made Product and appears to be not to be American designed... It's like a non-American size chair). You can hold onto something while on the spinner... A couch back, a recliner back a very stable dining chair or bar stool chair of appropriate height for stabilizing. You do have to bend knees a little at minimum to balance and get the twist spin... with time, additional thoughts of bending knees further and adding small weights or holding yoga ball for balance exercise or adding stretch ropes to routine. There is No mention of how the magnets work. No promises of better health. It is what you see... It spins with your effort ... I use once or twice a day attempting to watch TV... With more use having comprehension that I have more control over direction. I find it difficult to fast forward DVR commercials when using. Hoping to get better.  This takes up so much less space than weighted hula hoop... And no need to wear belt to prevent soreness or bruising compared to weighted hula hoop.

I use it on a rug and it works great. I would imagine it would work but hard to say for sure if you have very plush carpet.
