PopSockets Car Phone Mount, Vent Mount - Black

I have a tricky car setup. There's one vent on the left of the steering wheel, two in the middle of the car, and one on the right. I very much use the left two, so I have to put this on the middle-right vent. There also isn't really any flat vertical space so I couldn't use a sticky mount. I put the mount as high up as possible, but my phone ends up covering the clock and temperature in my display, which are the two things I look at most. However, I tried tipping my phone and it actually stayed that way. I might still just use this when I'm using navigation or music or something though because there's no reason to have it sitting there when it's not doing anything and it might flop back down to cover the display. I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic.

I had the adhesive PopSocket mount in my old vehicle and it worked great, but my new car doesn't have a good location to put one. I was hesitant to get the vent mount because it just doesn't seem like plastic air vent flaps would be stable enough to hold a phone steady, especially since I have a large/heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's not quite as stable as an adhesive mount secured to a flat surface, but I was pleasantly surprised with how little the phone moves around, and how secure it actually seems to be. I put the mount on the very top slat of the air vent so that it's stabilized by the top wall of the vent, and it has worked very well so far. I don't drive on gravel roads much, but have definitely hit a few potholes already and it didn't budge. If you have a good location to put an adhesive mount I would still recommend going that route, but if not, this is a very good alternative. Solid product.

This is far from perfect. It requires adjusting. It doesn't fit every car. Sometimes my phone spins sideways or upside down because (intentionally) my popsocket is near the center of my phone. After a couple of years it started falling off the vent. I looked into other products but decided to buy this one again because I do like having a popsocket on my phone. I like the price, and the fact that it's small and easy to take along for travel. I've used it in 2 rental cars and it worked in both.

Works well in my Camry. Does not work well in my Rav4 though since the vents are different. I have seen a version for the Rav4 but did not buy those yet as I'm usually in the Camry.

I do like pop socket, but is not always on my phone. I finally switched to a iphone with magsafe, so that's nice to have a pop socket that can come off.. however that's not what I'm reviewing.. There is no adhesive, and its difficult to get on at first, and feel like Im going to break my vents... So did not care for this at all. The prong to hold to the vents is just a 4 prong slider, so slides and tries to hold on to your vent that way. Also the phone is not well suported when its on the pop socket holder, it somewhat hangs down, so there is no real adjusting it like some other phone caddies for your vents / car. If all you have on your phone all the time is a pop socket, then I guess this is for you, but I rather have something that stays better, and is more secure, also can be adjusted. ** I would not purchase again sadly, I returned this and got another brand**

04/2025- This product is definitely new and improved. This holds my own way better than the old version and I love the new cable holder. They added to it. Still a good price and holds strong into my vent outlet.

I bought it hoping it would be sturdy enough to hold my cell phone on the vent obviously.. I put it on the vent and then I put my phone on it using the pop socket that I had attached to the back of my phone that was custom made and then my phone fell followed by the phone mount.. I just picked it up and I went to put it back on the vent and I have my phone in my hand and I don't feel my pop socket. It was nothing that was anything different from other ones. It was just custom made for me and it had sentimental value more than anything. And I wasn't able to put it back on my phone. I purchased a new popsocket from the store and I attached it to my phone waited a bit to make sure it was going to stay on. I go and put my phone on the holder and it falls again. I tried putting it lon different vents and the same thing. What I found is the part that you put your phone in, thiers a gap between the spot you lay the phone on and the back of the holder itself. The only 2 solid parts of this are the points that the phone has no contact with. So it isn't sturdy it's useless as a phone mount for me but I always find a way to upcyle what I can or ask if someone else wants it.

Finally I have a mount that works in my car! I was traveling with my daughter and saw her pop socket mount. I didn’t waste any time in ordering one for me. It works great, stays mounted on my vent and makes driving safer to see the map right near my steering wheel. Great invention! Great product!

Perfect mount if you have a pop socket and air vents in your car! I use this all the time and my phone has never fallen

Es duro para insertarlo en las rejillas del AC pero de ahi sabes que tiene buen soporte 10/10. Es fácil de retirar e insertar el pop en el soporte. Más cómodo que los soportes que agarran el ancho del cel. No se mueve con los movimientos del carro. En general una chulada. #Popsocket patrocínenme
