Very easy to add and adds alarm system capabilities (via keypad) to my home camera system. Been working very well so far; I like that it’s USB-C to charge and that the keypad lights up when you approach it. For me, to mount it, I used velcro command strips with the mounting base plate; this was I don’t have to make holes in my wall and the item is movable in the future if needed.

Purchased this Eufy keypad as an add-on to my installed Eufy security system. Allows for total control of the system from the wall keypad so now our smartphone is not needed to control monitor or make changes. Priced right, easy installation and works as depicted. Recommended purchase. Fast 2 day prime shipment was an added bonus.

I like it overall, but let's focus on things that you wouldn't read on the box: - enabling alarm / switching mode is through entering your code, and sometimes you have to start over if mode has changed again due to your automation (reasonable, however enabling alarm should be just a single button press I think) - app will give you Home, Away, Scheduled, Off, Geo and custom modes. I love that, but buttons on keypad will only allow to switch between home, away and off modes (I use Scheduled and I must use app for that, making keypad a bit useless; didn't find a way to program Home button to something else) - the alarm from homebase is as quiet as my phone on mid-volume. I don't even hear it behind doors. I only kept it for notifications on my phone and $5/month service to dispatch cops from my app (I travel sometimes) - they still did not fix issue with outdoor equipment that could be stolen & reset without any footage recorded in homebase

Easy to setup, install & operate. However, keypad light sensor is on the ready all the time so when simply walking pass the keypad all the keypad lights automatically illuminate. Keypad is in a well traveled area of our main entry/exit. Don't know how much it will negatively affect long-term battery power. Recommend having an on-off switch instead.

I was tired of over paying for my original security system so upgrading to this was perfect. It explains everything very plainly and the app is quite user friendly. I wish I would have chose eufy the first time.

Reporting and information on these vulnerabilities, and the UNACCEPTABLE responses from Eufy/Anker will be easy enough to find if you do not believe the angry rantings of an Amazon reviewer, which you would be correct not to take at face value. I'd point you to good journalism by The Verge amongst the dozens of tech sites reporting on this. I spent nearly $1000 putting together an a la carte Eufy Security System, and I chose Eufy SOLELY due to their market-differentiating all-local, no-cloud, end to end encrypted data protection. You may not find all of these claims on this page anymore, and that's because they got caught flat-out lying about these claims. The cameras used AWS to move manage and store data, LIVE STREAMS OF CAMERAS IN PEOPLES HOMES viewable unencrypted in VLC Media Player, and facial ID's that can be tracked over cameras not just in your home but in others. The ONLY REASON I purchased Eufy is because of their intentional deceit on this behalf. Class action lawsuits have been filed in both the US and UK, I will definitely be a part of the US one. I no longer trust so much as a USB-C cable from Anker, Eufy's parent company. They will never receive another dollar from me, and in fact I expect to get some back. This is the antithesis of home security. Inviting these products in to your home makes it less secure, because they are made by a company that cannot be trusted.

Save yourself a monthly subscription with those other brands and buy Eufy. Great product and works exceptionally well. Easy to set up and customer service was very helpful. Very cost effective as its self maintained no other costs involved after you purchase.

A great enhancement to my home security system. Don't have to go thru my phone every time to set security. Would definitely recommend !

I have purchased this to extend my Eufy Cam 2C setup into a full home security system. Have started with just the keypad and we are using it at the moment to manually change modes for the 2C external cameras (Away Vs Home) and it is working perfectly. Once we are "used" to having an alarm I will add the motion detectors and possibly the contact sensors for the windows. Set up is very very easy, you can set multiple pin codes for different members of the family with some set as temporary ones only valid at a certain time. Supposedly you can have up to 3 keypads per homebase which I would have thought would be more than enough for > 99% of homes. The keypad is very responsive and basically does what it is supposed to (change system mode) very impressed so far and of course the packaging is equisite as always. I will be adding more items to my Eufy security system. On the wishlist is an external Siren which is currently not available although supposedly being developed. If one is released I will be buying that too. Very happy and have already recommended this setup and brand to several family members and friends **Update ** After having the keypad in place a for few weeks I have added the motion sensors and the system is great I have the alarm triggered when motion is detected (indoor motion detector) in away mode (with 15 second alarm delay) and the alarm sound to replicate across homebase and some of my external 2C cameras, the other cameras that are set to not sound their siren plus the doorbell (which doesn't have a siren function) record video in the event of a siren activation. I used to have a Ring doorbell but that's now gone in the bin - this is far superior. Eufy seems like a solid system and has worked well and as expected on each test I've done plus a couple of false activations where I forgot about it and didn't key the code in quick enough. Few points to mention, yes the "siren" from the Homebase2 is pretty useless - BUT the siren sounds emitted from the cameras are pretty loud. Not enough that you can hear them from 2 streets away but certainly a deterrent I would hope. An external siren for this system is supposedly in the works and if it becomes available I will add it to my system. For the system as a whole considering price, installation, impact on your home (wires etc) - I am 100% an advocate and have recommended to several friends and family. For the benefits of the system I have described above I have; 2C camera system with Homebase2 (3 Cameras in total) "Add on" Video Doorbell "Add on" - Keypad "Add on" motion sensors In the near future I will be hooking up at least 2 of the external cameras to Solar Panels so I don't have to worry about charging them (the 3rd cam is on a north facing wall which never gets any direct sunlight so will not waste £50) on that one - I'll bite the bullet and charge it every 6 weeks or so. Final thought, aslong as your first purchase contains a Homebase - you can expand your system over time and at a pace to suit your appetite and wallet with all of the "add on" devices. Works well and is easy to use. Wall mounting is simple. Like all Eufy peripherals it needs a good signal from the base station so keep that in mind when deciding on placement. From a privacy perspective do some reading on China spying via Eufy. I would not buy again for this reason alone but I did not deduct any stars as this does not impact the techincal usage for those who dont care.
