Great music

Perhaps the greatest compilation of a band that hailed from Flint, MI and had fashioned oldies like "Some Kind Of Wonderful" and "Loco-motion" and made them rock out better, no disrespect to the originals though. Originally I wanted a Grand Funk compilation that included not just the songs on this one but also "Sally"[Their "Itchy-Coo Park" flavored song] and their rendition of the Stones' "Gimme Shelter", which is primarily out of print so this collection will have to do so I'm glad I got this then. You could say this is their greatest hits package because these songs on here really rock. The best way to start it is with-what else, "We're An American Band"[Which was what my band opened most of our sets with during the past two years and we also included "Wonderful" in our set as well or sometimes opened with that one instead]. Grand Funk was also a great live staple as a band and the one cut to represent their live stature was "Mean Mistreater". Other rockers on here include "Walk Like A Man"[No, not the Four Seasons classic], "Heartbreaker"[Not to confuse with the Led Zep tune, either], "Take Me", "Bad Time and "Rock 'N Roll Soul". We also two 10-minute pieces to round out this comp, the medley of "I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home"[Despite how great that song is I'd leave that last part alone after awhile, especially following the third "I'm getting closer to my home..."] and "Inside Looking Out". Just in case you're looking for a greatest hits collection of Grand Funk Railroad, your best bet is this one. But as long as its got "American Band", "Wonderful", "Loco-Motion" and "Your Captain", then I'm truly happy with it and believe me, you'll be too

Excelente coletânea, porém a Amazon continua errando na forma de envio, o CD chegou em envelope simples sem a proteção adequada, a caixa acrílica quebrada, não é a primeira vez que isso acontece, nas primeiras vezes fiz a devolução do produto, mas por se tratar de produto importado teria muita dor de cabeça para devolver, preferi arcar com uma nova caixa acrílica e não devolver o CD.
