I bought this book, as a member of another Twelve Step Fellowship, rather than AA. Other than the mental hassle of substituting the words 'alcoho'l and 'alcoholic' for the more appropriate words to my addiction, i found this book to be even more useful than the book written for my own Anonymous addiction in terms of tips and mental devices to use to aid recovery..

a great book to read i am very pleased with it

Easy to read. A good addition to your recovery (from codependency) library!

Pocket size easy reading, cross references. Good intro to the bigger stuff.Has a full description of the basic needs within the application of the 12 step programme. All round good guide with ideas and direction that are quite easy to follow. Not, however, a replacement for the original. And this book confirmes the need for a greater insite through the more fuller Big Book study and a person or persons to assist.

Uncomplicated which is always a good thing for me. Clear as to meanings and simple to understand. Haven't read much so far, but what I have read does not contradict with my understanding of the content. A good buy. Thought the kindle version over priced at £7.99 though.

A very informative read, explains the disease extremely well. And the symptoms.

Really helpful in explaining the programme and makes for good discussions.
