Can cast iron be used on this stove

I used my cast iron dutch oven on the larger burner and it did make minimal scratches. Just be careful not to drag the cast iron pots.

Does the light next to the burner knob stay on while thatburner is hot?

Until the burner cools down the light to that respective one stays illuminated. Great stovetop.

Does it plug in or is it hard wired?

It is a 220/240v hardwire unit so you can buy a plug and outlet kir or hardwire it.

Hi, the maximum current is 6000W/220V = 27 Amp.BTW, the wiring instruction is, For connection to a junction box without the use of a 220V plug:1. Connect the hot wire (L) from the unit to the Black wire in the circuit box (in junction box), and the neutral wire (N) from the unit to the Red wire from the circuit box (in junction box).2. Connect the ground wire (E) from the unit to the white wire from the circuit box (in junction box).3. Fasten the ground wire coming in from the circuit box (in junction box) to the ground lead on the junction box.4. The Hot and Neutral wires from the electric/induction unit are used as both Hot lines and must be connected with the two Hot lines(220V) from the circuit box - the Black and the Red lines.
