Great ear buds from a great brand
Great set of ear buds. This is my third set of Tozo ear buds and they’re just as good as the first two sets. I’ve only had to buy new sets due to me losing a single ear bud eventually from each of the first two sets. The first and second sets I purchased still work well and still hold long, long charges, they’re just each solos. If it weren’t for my carelessness, I would still be using the Tozos I bought two years ago. These are compatible with all of my devices, they fit the ear well, the sound is great, and the charge holds for a long time even with heavy use. The price is also great for the quality. This model has a noise canceling feature which was new to me, but works well. These are great for everyday use, or with their price, even as a backup to your more expensive ear buds. I would give them more than five stars if I could.

They have really stepped up their game... I like them a lot!
I have owned a LOT of Tozo earbuds. I am super hard on them and have lost a number of them from falling out of my ear(s) and into somewhere I couldn't or refused to retrieve them from. I have also used them until the batteries gave up and wouldn't charge anymore. But one thing I can say for sure.... They are priced GREAT, they sound GREAT and I have had them in my ears day in and day out for many years. These NC9 Hybrids are actually a game changer right out of the box. This model fits better than any other pair I have owned over the years and if they last as long as the other sets have, I will have them for a very long time (as long as I don't lose one, of course). These sound even better than previous generations and I assume it is because they have redesigned them from last gen. Quality is solid, they feel good in the ear and they paired right up to my phone in seconds. These are a durable choice and I highly recommend them if you want an inexpensive, great sounding and comfortable earbud. What I CAN'T speak to with these is any of the functions adjustable or enabled with the TOZO App. Because they are an in ear device, they do a lot of passive noise cancellation already. I won't install the app to try and see what other adjustments they have simply because I refuse to add another app that has assumed overseas connections or servers. Apps that do that kind of thing tend to make me, the consumer, the product. I WILL NOT fault TOZO for this as it is just my preference and I can't verify one way or the other what if anything the app does. I love them as they are and that is just fine.

A great buy, for the quality and price.
They work really well and I believe they are good for the price. Fairly good quality material. Battery life is decent. They are pretty lightweight and fit in the ears well. Honestly I forget I am wearing them at times. Noise cancelling it fair and sound quality is pretty good. Easy to set up connect and use. It has a few colors to select from. Over all I am pleased with the purchase.

Excellent earbuds!
Excellent noise canceling earbuds, great bass and clarity, easy pairing through Bluetooth, and long battery life. The Tozo NC9 is lighter in weight and stay secure in place much better the other more expensive earbuds. Highly recommended and excellent value for the price.

Good sound with noise canceling, responsive customer support
Firstly, I started using Tozo brand a few years back. I wanted blue tooth earbuds for long run days and also for work days. During pandemic telework I got used to focusing with music in my ears. I'm also not big on spending hundreds of dollars for these. I found that Tozo brand provides good quality sound for very reasonable cost. NC9 is my fourth pair. Two of the previous pair lasted 1.5-2 years each, and I left the charge box of the fourth in a taxi overseas, and lost it while still in its prime. One of the previous pairs started getting low battery life afer two years heavy use. And the other started having a malfunctioning touch pad after 18months of heavy use. I was looking forward to upgrading to the NC9 as I've not had an active noise canceling bud before. They provide plenty of different tips, and I tried a couple before settling on a good fit. I use one bud on long runs, and it stays put without problems. The noise canceling works quite well, which is good for telework, and much to my partner's chagrin (when she tries to get my attention). there is a noticeable difference in turning the noise cancelling on and off, and it is much better turned on. Battery life is fantastic, I have used for a long morning run, and kept them playing through the rest of the weekend day doing house work. The charge case is compact which has worked well for travel. I had no cause for contacting Tozo customer support, but these had an issue. After about 6 weeks of significant use, the right bud started to malfunction. It would start dropping its volume randomly, without touching the controls. The phone volume control indicated it was at an audible level and playing, and the left bud was working fine. Placing it in the charge case would reset it, but in time the malfunction would occur again. After looking into the App, which has some controls for the touch pads and audio settings, I could not find a trouble shoot for this issue, and emailed cusomer support. The support responded promptly, with additional trouble shooting, and confirming firmware updates and phone versions. After three rounds of emails, we did not resolve the issue, Tozo Customer support shipped a replacement NC9 unit from Amazon. So, my recommendation to anyone who experiences issues, use the customer support. Every reply was thoughtful and prompt. While the short term malfunction in the unit was certainly disappointing, I'm pleased that the support was responsive. I will post an update if the longevity of the replacement set is also poor. I also highly recommend the Tozo App. It allows you to configure the touch controls to your preference, and provides equalizer settings. I was also able to extend the life of my older Tozo ear buds, by turning off all touch settings. While no touch controls are not optimal, they are still useful for extreme conditions, like gardening or the sauna, where I wouldn't want to risk the newer ear buds.

not the best from TOZO, nor, the worst either. Great sound quality, but a few cons hold these back
This update is after I did get the updated 2024 version of the NC9s I really hate to act like I hate these original NC9s ... they are just not for me and I just dropped them off for a return. They are (the buds themselves not the eartip part) too big but the sound is good/"pretty darn good" ... the build quality is great ... I THINK they have app support but i couldn't get them to work (if they dont have app support then it is my mistake here). Overall they are ok/decent earbuds ... the ANC is not that bad though because of the bigger bud size i wasn't getting the best seal. WITHOUT going into a review of the 2024 Upgraded NC9... I think they are better. App support works great (again maybe these never did have app support ... like the original TOZO T6s), the ANC not only woks better but trying different modes i tried the "leisure mode" and that is the strongest ANC i have heard in any budget earbud I have ... I THINK on that setting its even better than what I REMEMBER of the TOZO NC2s which I loved the ANC on. Also TOZO even on their non-ANC buds .. like the T6s (whichever model/version) provide REALLY GOOD passive NC in my view.. The one thing I am not sure (minus the EQ in the TOZO app) I cant say is better in the 2024 model is the sound ... HOWEVER that is not saying these original NC9s are better ... just both sound great out of the box and I did not notice the overall sound quality to be better .. .they are great on both versions of the NC9s oh yeah .. I forgot .. the new ones are smaller and fit better .. more along the line of any other TOZO earbud I have. TOZO really does listen to feedback it seems, and I love that about TOZO. -------- Original Review: I have to admit before starting this review that It is not going to be as comprehensive as others, but I wanted to share my view on the original (that I know of) TOZO NC9’s. I have already started a return for these, and while I am unsure if its a good idea .. I did (for the same exact price counting the coupon box) order the UPGRADED NC9s. I am a TOZO fan though I will not claim any of their products are “perfect”. I have T6s (more than one pair), A3s, NC2s (again more than one), the TOZO Tonal Fits, as well as one of their PE1 speakers. I’d say TOZO is one of my go-to brands, but I did notice a few things with my limited time with these NC9s already. The Fit. While I am not going to go overboard here, these are a bit bigger than expected (I do hear the upgraded ones are a tad smaller) … like my Lavabeans which are no longer listed on Amazon seem big but they are big in the sense of sticking out of my ears, but not “too large’ say in diameter of the actual buds. The diameter of these NC9s maybe the biggest I ever tried and they are just not as comfortable as other buds. I have tried basically the T6 “classics” (model from years ago) and the new style and EITHER of those feel uncomfortable. In a way these don’t either but they are just too big. The Sound Ignoring other issues I have had the sound out of the box with no EQ tweaks (which I can not do … foreshadowing) … is pretty damn good. I wish I could tweak it and if I did I’d just maybe pump up the mid-highs and highs a pinch … maybe leaving the bass alone OR raising that a pinch too, but really good balance and yes I cant get the fit (see above why) just right but overall I like the tuning. I admit most buds that I buy (that I do my homework on before buying) sound good but some just sound off .. like different frequencies are too low, and others are too high… making what I am listening to .. without tweaks, sound way off. The Sound even without tweaks is not the issue. App: Here is a big one … This is suppose to have EQ support which to me (like on the product page) means TOZO App support but despite trying with two different phones .. the NC9s pair fine and fast to both phones but even with the most updated TOZO app, the app on either phone cant detect the buds … I know some (say the first gen of A3s I have do not have app support) versions of different models have support and others don’t but I cant get these to work. ANC One reason I am even considering canceling my order for the UPGRADED 2024 model of NC9s is the ANC. Listen … I have my expectations low … I mean these are not BOSE or Sony level ANC. But these reminded me of the NC7s I returned (due to tech reasons) … I just wasn’t impressed. Even after the NC7s, I went back to test the ANC in the TOZO NC2s and with them (The NC2s) I was ‘oh yeah … much better” .. I CANT remember if the NC2s have an anbient/transparency mode but the ANC is better. Also no matter (Classic or new Ergonomic edition) which edition it is … with the default eartips feeling great … I feel the TOZO T6s block out more noise even when nothing is playing, then the experience I had with the NC7s or NC9s … I am hoping the upgraded NC9’s that have different ANC levels in the app may do better. Update: I actually just remembered that the NC2s DO have transparency mode and I remember feeling when out for a walk that the NC7’s Trans. Mode DID feel more refined .. Like it felt more natural and I wasn’t hearing things further away sounding “really close”…credit to the NC7s for that. I know I am returning these original NC9s so I will not be trying them anymore (less wear and tear on them IMHO) otherwise I would try them on a walk and comment on the transparency mode. -------------- Summary Really I cant say “Avoid these” … if you know about the size being big and the (from my experience) app support that I have NOT had issues with, concerning ANY other TOZO products with advertised app support …. and are willing to try them … these aren’t bad but they are not my favorite TOZOs. I think part of my disappointment is that YES I ADMIT I got these by mistake, meaning to get the new upgraded NC9s for the same price … I just don’t see a huge improvement in these versus some of the cheaper TOZO options like the T6s. Out of (minus my battery tech issues that caused me to send the NC7s back) … IN MY EXPERIENCE with the original NC2s, NC7s and NC9s .. the NC2s are 100% my favorite so far. The sound on the NC2s WERE better in my view then the NC7s but …. I think these buds minus other issues, SOUND WISE are on part with the NC2s. I just think bang for buck, TOZO itself (ignoring other great brands like Earfun and Tribit for instance) has better offerings. I will be posting my 2024 TOZO NC9 reviews and when I have them .. .we will see if TOZO has done what they have before and listened to feedback and improved the NC9s … Credit to TOZO for really doing that in the past.

My New Favorite Earbuds
I actually love these, which was somewhat unexpected given the price tag. I'm not an audiophile, but I can somewhat tell the difference between poor sounding earbuds and decent ones. Trust me, I've purchase a few pairs of the not-so-good earbuds and use them long enough until I can find a better pair. The sound on these is not going to knock your socks off, but for the price, and with the EQ tools in the app, they've got decent sound quality. The fit is actually better than most earbuds that I purchase. My left ear must have a weird shape because a lot of earbuds fall out of that ear pretty easy, especially when I get sweaty or when I'm chewing food. I haven't tried intense exercise with these yet, but they did pass the food-chewing test. In other words, I don't feel the left earbud slowly creeping out of my ear canal while I'm eating, which is what usually happens with other earbuds. The earbud sync up to my iPhone quickly, and the tap controls on the earbuds are very responsive. I like that you can tap the left earbud to activate/deactivate noise canceling. It comes in handy when someone is trying to talk to me through the noise canceling; however, the single tap does switch you to Tozo's "Transparency Mode" instead of "Normal Mode", which mean the earbuds will amplify any exterior sounds which can be grating in loud environments. Just a caution if you have super sensitive hearing already. I can't speak much about how they work for phone calls. In a quiet environment, the person on the other end of the line has said they can hear me just fine. I'd be interested to see how they function in a noisy environment. My basic AirPods are still my go-to for phone conversations, just because I've never had the person on the other end of the line say they're having a problem hearing me, that is if the AirPod will stay in my left ear, which it won't whenever I'm walking around. The noise canceling is probably my favorite feature. I used the earbuds on a plane, and I felt they did an acceptable job of filtering out the plane noise and allowing me to enjoy my music and movies. They worked so well on a 14-hour car ride that sometimes the driver was trying to talk to me, and I had no idea he was speaking unless I was looking directly at him. The battery also lasted the entire car ride, though I confess I only had them on for about a quarter of the trip, and I put them back in the case a few times to recharge them, even though they weren't even halfway close to dying on me. When we arrived out our location, the battery life in the case wasn't even close to being expired. Finally, I can't speak to the longevity, since I've only owned them for a few weeks. I hope they last me at least a few years, at which point, I'll probably buy another pair, if the price is the same. If I get a couple years out of them, then they're definitely worth it. So far, they are my favorite pair of earbuds, out of the four I own

Great choice!
Finally! I have only used TOZO products for awhile. Headphones and pillows are impossible to shop for, for me. I had the nc3 pair and they were great. I dropped it and had to get a new pair. I am very pleased with these and was waiting all day watching my doorbell to get them. They fit perfectly inside of the ear and rest without falling out. They are plug and Play. You just hit pair and they're ready to use. The noise canceling is what is most important to me and with regular and noise canceling along with transparency mode it works phenomenally. When transparency mode is on, I can hear my refrigerator hum in the background. It offers advanced hearing and amplifies sound without making things louder. The active noise canceling is great. It allows me to tune things out. Volume control is great. It does not suppress volume from what your phone would be. The nc3s were very durable, these seem to be more well crafted than the NC3 model. I am excited to see how they hold up. I shook my head left and right and was able to keep them in my ear without any slipping. I will update this review after a week to gauge comfort and ease of use.
