Life changer.
Fabulous toothbrush. It changed my wife’s life as she describes it and would never go back to manual toothbrush. However it will not last forever. I am writing this 2 days after it gave out and is not charging anymore. I purchased it in January 2020 and it lasted until August 2025. Pricey but wife’s teeth she says are now healthy and clean when paired with good toothpaste - she only goes to see dentist for checkups. Shes liked the pink colour as well. Will buy another one as it was money well spent (130£ at that time).

It's taken me a while to get used to it but now that I have, it is Brilliant!!
The last time I used an Electric Toothbrush was about 40 years ago and I wasn't impressed! Following the advice of Relatives to try them again and after a great deal of research, I decided on this Diamond Clean 9000, which was fortunately on Special Offer. I must confess that when I first started using it, I thought my teeth were going to vibrate out, until I realised that I'd got it on the Highest Intensity Setting. My next concern was that it seemed to leave some of my teeth feeling a little rough to the tongue but after further research, I gather this is because, unlike my manual toothbrush, it is successfully removing the plaque. I have had it for two months now and apart from the initial charge, I've only had to charge it twice whilst using it twice daily. To be fair and honest, it took me about a month to really get used to it and get the best out of it but now I can confidently say that I love it and would not consider going back to a manual toothbrush. I have yet to use the Travel Case (Covid Lockdowns and all that) but I can see that it will be very handy for both transporting and charging the toothbrush whilst away from home. I have used the app which inspires confidence in informing you that you are brushing regularly and correctly (or not). The little stand is handy for daily storage and charging the toothbrush is simple enough. I haven't been to the Dentist since using it but I'm hoping she'll approve of my new brushing regime. No issues to date but I will edit my review accordingly. All in all, Highly Recommended, especially if you can catch it when it's on Special, Special Offer!

Better than my oral b - perhaps
OK so I had an oral b brush for almost 13 yrs . Very good brush , but when it died , I thought I would get another . Done research and saw the sonicare was getting some positives , so bought one . ☆UPDATE☆ SEEMS CHARGE LASTS 3 WEEKS . THATS A ONCE ADAY BRUSH . It certainly takes a little practise to perfect , but cleans my gums really nice ( just had a deep clean at the dentist so decided to get this brush for its actions ) . OK so it's only been a week but I'm liking it so far , my teeth feel much better . One thing I did find , don't close your mouth with this brush on highest intensity - made my whole mouth tickle, best method is to leave the mouth open . Then again it may be just me . In all happy with it , has a large yellow sticker on brush packaging saying charge a full 24 hours . I would suggest you do this . Afterall who knows how many months , its been sitting in a warehouse ?

Great toothbrushes while they last which sadly is not very long anymore.
Great toothbrushes while they last which sadly is not very long anymore. We used to love Philips toothbrushes. My first Diamonclean 9000 series lasted between 7-8 years, then in 2023 the battery stopped working but the toothbrush itself was fine. But after that many years, you can't really complain. Naturally I opted for the same type as I was very happy with it. How very disappointing. After just under one year it broke (first made a horrible loud sound and then the rod in the toothbrush became loose, so I couldn't use it anymore). Amazon replaced it and now just over a year later, same thing: first very loud when brushing, then rod loose again. A product at this price lasting around one year is very disappointing. My husband has the same issues with these models (we're at the third one for him and the same issue with the rod becoming loose; first one was bought in November 2017 and lasted approx. 3 years, the next was bought in January 2021 and lasted 1.5 years, now this one bought in July 2022 broke in the summer of this year, so another 3 years. After many many years of using Philips we are now considering switching to Oral B and if not definitely try another model than the 9000 series. With prices between £120 - £150 per toothbrush lasting between 1 - 3 years, this is sadly not worth it anymore.

stopped working exactly after 5 years
Great toothbrush! Cleans very well. Stopped working exactly after 5 years. I give it 4 of 5 stars due to luck of easy option to change the accumulator/battery. Once the battery is gone the whole kit needs to go to bin. I had to order a new one; good for business - bad for environment and customers.

Lasted over 4 years until I accidentally dropped it :(
Here’s the good the bad and the ugly. Sonicare toothbrushes last anywhere between 2-4 years. This one I took out extended warranty for the 3rd year it exceeded well past that. Secondly, lots of people saying it comes with the wrong plug. It comes as standard with a shaver adapter and you need to buy the shaver 3 pin plug. Costs about £2 and once you’ve got it it’s yours for life. Now let’s talk about the brush I purchased this toothbrush 08.03.22 it’s completely held its charge and was still working up until 09.05.26 I accidentally dropped it on the tile floor. I work nights, in the NHS and was brushing my teeth before work as I have a habit of forgetting to brush them before midnight which is annoying. And since then it’s just flashing back and forth and the pressure sensor is coming on with little to no pressure. This has been the best Philips toothbrush to date lasting just over 4 years. I have been using Philips toothbrushes for well over 15 years. Just about to purchase the exact same model in white because it’s cheaper in the hope it lasts as long as this one did! It’s a small price to pay between dental visits!

Like visiting a dentist twice a day
Title says it all, this is the best electric I've tried, I've tried Oral-B a few times but never got into it and preferred a manual toothbrush. Due to the lack of good dental hygiene my teeth became dark black and between my front two upper teeth there were black residues from coffee and not being able to clean it properly, I tried flossing which didn't change anything, I even bought a pick to try remove the black marks, nothing helped. Then I bought this toothbrush after reading reviews and because it has a sonic mechanism rather than oscilation. The black between my teeth were removed day one using the white mode, but I much prefer the deep clean mode, both clean great but my teeth feel cleaner much more with the deep clean since it lasts for 3 minutes in total. The brush vibrates whenever you need to move which quadrant to brush your teeth. Some people have said they needed to get used to it, but personally after most of my life using a manual toothbrush and an electric toothbrush a handful of times I never had a problem with the highest intensity from the start. There was a plauqe build up on the back of my lower teeth, with floss it felt like a bump and my tongue could feel it, with one use of this toothbrush that build up is gone, truly remarkable. The USB charging case is great and I prefer it over a 2 pin charger. The cup with a charger looks elegant but I never used it, and probably won't.
