UPDATE: I just found that it does make key marks on the screen, but it's really not a big deal - you just rub the screen gently with your soft cloth and the marks go away. As long as it doesn't scratch the screen I'm happy. I recently found that my fresh looking keyboard on my Macbook Air M1 2020 began to show some wear - it's like shiny spots on the matte surface of the keys - particulary on the spots I type most frequently, like at the location of my thumbs on the spacebar. I read online and found that this is a common sympthom that is caused by the repeatedly friction between your fingers and the keys - Some of us have finger-nails, some of us have rough skin... All these affect the friction and at the bottom line the wear-out of the keys. So it's quite obvious that you can't keep your keyboard like new and using it at the same time, but to not use it at all. Gladly, there are these kind of products that can both protect the entire keyboard from liquids and dirt, and to also protect the keys from direct friction with your fingers. Keep in mind though that the friction with the keys still occurs, only that it's between the smooth silicon and the keys. So I guess that this will keep the keys better than typing on them without it, but only time will tell. I didn't use the adhesion tape pieces that came with it, so I didn't rate it, as I found that this cover fits on the keyboard like a glove and stays in place, even when typing - I'm typing this review with this cover now and it doesn't move. The feel: well, it's not like typing without it, I give you that. But it's not that bad either. I guess it's just a matter of getting use to it. And I think that I already did. The look: I picked the clear version of this cover and added some pictures to show how it looks, with and without backlight, how it looks when pressing a key, the cut for the touch ID key (so you could also see how the clear cover affects the look of the black keys), and lastly the thickness of this cover. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and highly recommend it. Hope that you'll find this review helpful.

As pictured, fit the keyboard amazingly, feels great to type on, stays on the keyboard easily! I love that it came with stickers to hold it on, but I haven’t needed them yet.

This is the second computer I've protected with one of these. They are fantastic. The plastic is so thin that you really don't notice it. But it protects the keyboard from finger dirt, or from crumbs falling between the keys (if you eat near your computer). It won't protect the computer from a full-fledged spill, but it will protect from slight spray (as in, a reaction to something very funny when you've just taken a sip of coffee). It will also protect against a sneeze (something I really wouldn't have worried about two years ago.) It's not actually adhesive - it just fits so well that it clings to the keyboard. But if you can get a fingernail under a corner, you can peel it off and wash it. (Of course, make sure it is dry before re-applying to the computer.) The keyboard of my old computer - a 2014 - has always had a similar film on it, and it looks brand new.. I didn't even use my new computer until I was able to get this keyboard protector. It will keep the keyboard on your laptop clean and protected, and it is so thin that you will hardly notice it. I love it.

Keeps keyboard clean. Typing is great. Transparent color was perfect for me. The product has lasted me 5 years.

I got this because it was clear and would allow the backlight from the keyboard to come through It does a great job of keeping anything like water or crumbs from getting into the keyboard. It is easy to put on and fits perfectly my MacAir M1 13in laptop. I have no issues typing on this as well. It is thick enough to last a long time but easily removed for cleaning. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is perfect. It stays in place and fits perfectly on my MacBook 13.3. I did not even use the adhesion that came with it. It also does not stink like others I tried. It feels nice to the touch and not icky feeling. The best part, it protects dust, allergens, or whatever else that can make it in between your keys. Perfect for someone like me who has many immune system dysregulations after toxic mold which includes allergies, chemical sensitivity, etc. My ONLY complaint would be it makes the keys a little foggy. I have def seen worse but it just don't look as crisp as it did before the cover. I would def buy again though.

I just wish the rubber was clearer. I can certainly see all the keys fine, but my keyboard just doesn't look quite as nice now that the keys are not a crisp black. The picture shows a perfectly clear cover, but it is not even close - highly frosted. My picture shows what it actually looks like. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Fits my M1 MacBook Air perfectly. I haven't used the little two-sided stickers it came with because I didn't want to add any height, but it stays on the keyboard remarkably well without them.

SO great, does it's job and is durable. Also, great price.
