How do you attach this to the Multipad?

Scott, the multipad should have come with a bracket that slides over that arm on the head of the PS940 stand. You mount the bracket onto the DTX Multipad, and then slide the bracket over that arm and tighten the screw that locks the unit in place. Mine works awesome!

This is a Tri-Pod stand Designed to mount the Yamaha DTX-MULTI 12, which is a 12 Pad Electronic Percussion system for programmed drum kits, and different sounds.

Will this support a Yamaha 14 inch rack tom?

Yes, I believe it will. It is a sturdy, double-braced tripod based stand. I have a heavy Yamaha electronic pad kit mounted on mine and at a level 6-9” above my toms and it is completely solid.

Not your average music stand. This gem is top-shelf Yamaha quality and value.

Having never seen one of these in-person, I resisted buying one because compared to other stands I thought it seemed overpriced. Wow, was I ever wrong! The sturdiness (and quality) of this stand is way beyond anything similar I've ever encountered. Same goes for the MAT1 adapter. Yes, the two of them new will run you over $200, but the sturdiness and overall quality of construction is worth it. Now I can finally mount my DTX-MULTI 12 on a stand it deserves. Once again Yamaha Music wins the value proposition.

Rock solid Yamaha quality

Rock-solid stand that stays put. This is not a light stand-heavy duty weight that helps anchor a 13” rack Tom I hang from it.

This is sturdy, but very pricey because you have to buy the whole stand and mounting bracket. I’m a drummer and have extra stands but would love to just buy a bracket for $30 but one not available for this unit Yamaha
