I ordered the 1/4” version of this product and I didn’t think about how small it would actually be. I work at a shelter and while a majority of our dogs are large, I do occasionally need to take small dogs out and was looking for a lightweight and shorter slip lead for them. It has held up well and works for the tiny dogs. If I need to replace one of my other leashes I may consider getting one of the larger sizes to try it out.

They slip leads are very very nice and so easy to use versus a hook on a collar. We have two golden retrievers and we love having these in each of our vehicles that they are always handy and so easy and fast to use & cute

Because of my job, I need a leash that I can toss on my dog quickly but I didn’t want any sort of aversive tool so I was very hesitant to get a slip lead. The stoppers on either side are very secure so I don’t have to worry about accidentally choking my dog at all. It’s relatively soft but it should get softer as I use it. The only down side to me is length. If you’re buying your first slip lead please know that 5 ft is just not enough. My dog is short and thick and the leash still needs to wrap around her neck which forces my toy aussie in a heel and that’s just not our vibe. It’ll be fine for short distances but not walks

6/8/2021: Lost one of the blue ones, more of a very pretty turquoise, so I came back for another one. These are such great leashes. Very thankful they are still available.7/22/18: Back today to order two more. Different uses, and by now they work very well for me, so came right back here. My Yorkie rescue is stubborn and my puppy is still learning so I use a harness for those times when these aren't the best solution. With these, I use one set of for training in my yard attached to a belt so I'm hands free with both dogs while training/walking. I need the second set for ease of use getting them to and from their outdoor pen, car, etc. so I don't have to break down / reassemble my training/walking setup or put on their car harnesses.3/22/18: I ordered the thinnest size for my 9 lb. Yorkie and it's perfect. She isn't bothered by the size and weight like the large one. Haven't tried it outside yet because it's raining, but I'm very impressed with the quality from what I can see. I'm ordering a second one for my soon to be here puppy who is also small.I do wish they didn't wrap the rope the way they do for shipping, though. Very tough for older, not as nimble fingers, to grab and undo, so 4-stars instead 5 due to the frustrating wrap for packaging. They need a frustration-free variant that isn't wrapped like a climbing rope. The thinner line is very hard to get unwrapped.

It is a nice concept, but my dog was able to wiggle his head through the opening. It is a good weight, a great concept, but ChubbKa got out of it and I'm glad he didn't run. It was fine until I had to give him a tug. I think it needs a more secure to adjust around the neck. But if your dog listens to you and comes when you call him outside, then it is a perfect leash for you. My dog is just a little hard-headed and not street-smart.

Everything about this leash I love. The reason I was replacing the one that I already had for my dog, was because it was so stiff it was hard to maneuver which made me feel it was not safe for my dog while going walking.The leather fasteners/stoppers (you can see in the photo) stay in place. The least I have now they are currently a blah ugly black and the color of these leather ones just make the entire leash even more prettier.What I also like about this is the diameter because it is not super thick around which makes it more flexible. I have a labrador retriever (puller) and ordered the medium thickness.I chose the color purple and it is not a loud purple, it is a very gentle pretty purple.Next time I need a new lease like this particular one I will be buying from this seller and I highly recommend it to other pet parents.
