I was skeptical about generic replacement batteries, but this thing works perfectly. I have a B&D blower. This thing is the perfect replacement battery. I use it all the time. Still going strong!

I've only tried the battery once. Black and Decker leaf blower/vacuum. Used about 30 minutes in vacuum mode, in the middle of power setting and the vacuum was still running strong with no noticeable slowing down. My original battery was only 1.5 AH and would slow down and stop at about 30 minutes. So I think this 3.0 AH battery will be an improvement. Time will tell as for how long it lasts. TIP: my original batteries worked well and re-charged well as long as I used them regularly . If they are left sitting on a shelf they will degrade and not hold a charge very long. Both of my original and very expensive batteries failed after sitting about 1 year without usage. Knowing this now, I'll use these new replacements more often.

This battery works really well. Charges fairly quickly. This is the second battery I bought so I could charge one as I use the other one.

Worked ok first 2 years but one battery not so good the 3rd year

Thank you for double boxing and wrapping in bubble wrap! Took a few minutes to get it on the charger but it is charged up and ready to go. Appreciated the quick delivery. Saved me money because I did not want to replace the trimmer. Will probably order another just to have on hand. Great vendor!

This is the second replacement battery I’d bought from Amazon for my 9 year old B&D 36v string trimmer. The original wasn’t getting charged any more, and the first replacement battery would only charge to one LED segment. I sent it back and bought a different one. When the same thing happened with that battery I finally wondered if the problem was actually my charger. So, before returning the second battery I bought a new 40v fast charger, and lo and behold, the new battery charged fully. And so did the original battery… So for all those people railing about ‘cheap junk batteries’ and so on, “hold your fire”. The problem may not be what you think it is. To be fair, let’s point a couple of things out: 1. It’s hard to know whether it’s the battery or the charger without doing what I did. But we always hear about batteries failing, and rarely about chargers failing, so we assume it’s the battery. In this case, that was not true. How many of these reviews claiming bad batteries were unknowingly using bad chargers? 2. If you buy a replacement battery for a 36v device, all you can buy is a 40v battery. Even if your 36v charger works perfectly it probably won’t completely charge a 40v battery, so you won’t get the extended range you should from the higher voltage. And all those people selling batteries seem to conveniently forget to mention that. 3. I still can’t say how long either of my batteries will last. I’m a little leery of anything labeled a ‘fast charger’ for lithium ion batteries after hearing about all the fires. For safety I put the charger outside when I charged both the old and the new battery, and the old battery did get quite warm. But that could be because it’s rated at 36v and I’m now using a 40v charger (actually charge voltage is 42v) so it was pushed pretty hard. We’ll see if that eventually kills it. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Zero stars. Faulty product. It arrived showing it was charged. Put it in my new 40 volt Black and Decker trimmer. Nothing. It did absolutely nothing. Took it out and put it on the charger. Turned the charger light red. Total waste of time and money. Piece of junk.
