20V 12" Cordless String Trimmer & 360CFM Leaf Blower Kit, WG928

I ordered this set after a 2 other cordless trimmer sets failed.. one the battery just stopped charging entirely, and one the motor failed. I decided to try the Worx brand and am happy to report that it works better than expected! Build quality is fantastic. Nothing feels cheap and fits nicely in the hand. It came with two batteries and I was able to trim and edge my entire yard and sidewalk, as well as blow the clippings away with both. I have a .5 acre lot and a lot of sidewalk so it took me about 45 minutes to complete. Trimming was easy and effective, but the edging was the part I was most pleased with. Excellent results, and the button to feed string made the whole task seamless. Being able to swap between edge and trim was a little tricky as the angle is hard to change due to the head of the trimmer being resistant and no button I could find, just had to muscle the angle. The blower is powerful and light weight so using it for an extended period of time was no trouble unlike some brands which are back heavy and make my arm fatigued after 10 minutes of holding it steady. Between the trimmer/edger and blower you will be hard pressed to find a more versatile yard set for the cost.

Thought I’d come back and share my thoughts on how the trimmer and blower have been after 4 years of use! Overall, I’m beyond impressed at the quality and lifespan of a product in this value section of the power equipment market. Extremely easy to use since the string is pre rolled, no mixing gas or clogged carburetors, and it’s extremely lightweight for a trimmer. I have a half acre lot and 75% is chain link fence plus outdoor patio and swingsets etc. I’ve never had any issues with the blower or trimmer and it’s the best product for the money! I’m in my late 20’s and thought this was mainly for older people with small houses/condos but its handled everything I’ve thrown at it. Batteries still last ~30 minutes 4 years later and I have not stored them like I should. I leave them in the garage and only remember to bring them in when it’s below 0 degrees F (live in Ohio with ~4 months of winter pretty cold at night and ~2 months of summer at 80+ F). However, they charge extremely fast and having 2 batteries is PERFECT because one charges while you’re using the other and then I swap them to finish. I recommend anyone buying these to get 2 batteries or splurge on the larger pro batteries with more amp hours. These have entry level batteries so set your expectation accordingly. To be fair and list some cons (which compared to the strengths the cons are not really even bad) I am 6’0” and it is a little short for me (that’s to be expected though). I used to work at a major home improvement store in the outdoor power equipment section as well as working in the lawn care business and out of all the battery powered trimmers I NEVER saw myself getting any of the WORX products. No one ever came in with a bad reviews of them but I just felt like they were for old people. I was wrong because if I took care of a gas trimmer and blower as well as I take care of these (not well) I’d probably be on my second set by now! This has completely changed my outlook on their products and I’ll be looking to get more in the future. Entry level cost to get into the battery powered products plus low costs on other products in their portfolio makes it the best battery powered value in the market. Quality for the value exceeds every expectation!

Let me start by saying, I am by no means a professional landscaper or even a very knowledgeable person about lawn care in general. I did use this combo to do 2 rental properties on a little over 1/2 acre lot, and it worked great. I purchased this combo and I have only used it once so far but felt like writing a review because I saw some negative reviews on here that I don't believe this product deserves. EDIT 04/18/2024 Just used the equipment yesterday for the second time and already the trimmer quick feed is sticking. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't only the second time using it.. The other issue is flipping over to get more line gets old very quickly because the line is so weak.. Using the edger I have to flip and get more line every 5ft... The pros: I really do like this blower/trimmer combo, and it did a great job for 2 rental properties. Based on some reviews stating that the battery life couldn't get them through a single yard is strange to me because I trimmed, edged, and blew 2 driveways, 4 walkways, and almost an entire roughly 80ft sidewalk on both sides with less than 2 batteries. (I really think people complaining about battery life are not fully charging the batteries before the first use) The blower has 2 settings, and I found the lower setting to be good enough for the job. I'm sure the high setting would probably drain the battery, but I did not use it so I cannot speak for it. The trimmer is awesome in my opinion (other than weak string). Again, it's super lightweight, has the quick feed option on the handle, and the edger attachment is great. I don't plan on being real rough on these items, but I will say I worry about how long the edger attachment might last as it seems a little cheap. The cons: My biggest issue is that the string on the spools (including the extras I purchased) are only available in .065 thickness, so they break very easily. That being said, the quick feed option on the handle helps a lot; it just isn't great to go through line so quickly. My second, and really only other con, is that the batteries take FOREVER to charge. Again, this isn't a huge issue being that I purchased 2 extra batteries and had 4 total, so it was more than enough to get the job done. Summary: All together, I would highly recommend this combo especially at the price point. I've only used it once, and my review will change if my view of the product changes, but as of now, I have been impressed with it. For a little more reference, I attached a picture of the 2 properties I took care of. All of this was done with less than 2 batteries.

For me, these 2 cordless tools are perfect. The trimmer and blower are both lightweight, easy to use, and the combo was at an affordable "on sale" price. I primarily use them for small to medium-size jobs around our farmhouse and to help maintain 6 graves at the cemetery. I wouldn't consider these a heavy duty workhorse or as tough as a gas-powered trimmer and corded blower. If you have a large project with tall, thick weeds and grass to trim, this isn't going to give you enough power. Cordless is convenient but battery life isn't very long. (The batteries also take a long time to re-charge -- the charger comes with.) The trimmer/blower combo came with two batteries -- one for the trimmer and one for the blower so a couple of times at the cemetery, I've swapped out the compatible blower battery so I could keep going with the trimmer. Again, for what I need, cordless works great and Worx seems to have created a quality version of a trimmer and blower. I'd like to think they'll last for several years. We'll see!

Received my package today and was missing a leaf blower tube. Everything was neatly packaged. I briefly tried out the trimmer on wet grass and I must say I wasn’t disappointed. I reached out to WORX customer service. Now I’m just waiting on a response on how the matter will be resolved. Even with the leaf blower missing a tube it works pretty well. ***UPDATE*** Customer service was nice and efficient with sending out the blower tube. Blower battery goes fast but with a more powerful battery this package deal should work for me.

Trimmer device seems to work as expected. Not too powerful, but fine for cleaning around the home. The BATTERIES HOWEVER are another thing: seem to run out fast and MINE DO NOT EVEN SHOW THE POWER LEVEL (button does not work on them). Maybe my batteries are faulty?? Have not tried the blower yet for a full cleanup (the batteries run down on the trimmer before being useful for action on blower). Anyone had the same issue?

I couldn't be happier with the WORX 20V 12" Cordless String Trimmer! It was incredibly easy to assemble right out of the box, and the battery charged quickly. The lightweight design makes it comfortable to use, even for longer yard work sessions, and I love not having to deal with extension cords or gas. It has more than enough power to trim around flower beds, fences, sidewalks, and trees, leaving my yard looking neat and well-maintained. Bought this last June loved it and now I bought a second one. It does a great job trimming and wacking down weeds. I have a large property to maintain and this trimmer is lightweight for my 82 year old husband to walk the property and trim around trees and decorative garden walls before he cuts the lawn. I use 2 batteries to trim around my quarter acre pond and trim the overgrowth weedy area along my wooded area. I now have 4 batteries I keep fully charged so I carry one with me as a spare when I walk my property and begin trimming. Excellent product for a senior bc of the weight and my ability to maneuver it around shrubs, flower beds, trees and garden walls. Blower is very powerful and light weight. Highly recommend!

Not new to Worx garden tools, the set is great and works as expected. Blower could be more compact and less noisy but is OK for this price. A better blower from Worx costs as this set.
