Don’t get me wrong if budget weren’t an issue I’d probably have a marble and porcelain one of different sizes too.. but if having to buy just one and rush my salt rocks and pepper corns or make other smashed recipes … I love the granite and size of this for the price I paid can’t beat it under $18 it’s an amazing life long culinary kitchen tool. Glad I chose this one

Arrived quickly (I placed my order on December 7) on December 11 and pestle was broken in half. I've e-mailed the seller about it, no response back yet. Otherwise, it is gorgeous and the dimensions were just as advertised. I have not used it yet because it is a Christmas gift, but I have noticed that it leaves powder residue. Once we season it, that should disappear. Is slightly tilted, but not so much that it changes the amount of content it is able to hold drastically.

I got a very fast delivery and I am so looking forward to using it. I am a Sri Lankan woman and I love to miss my spices for rubs and other curry preparations. This bowl is large so it will be easy to mix whatever you need. It is also very well-priced. Similar products are far more expensive close to $120 I am glad I found this. Smooth and lovely. Buy it you will not regret it.

Very solid and super heavy... but I'm using mine in a different way! I've been looking everywhere for an all natural stone Japanese style bird bath, and this was the most inexpensive alternate route to getting one. Birds actually go crazy for it, since they can grip the lip with their feet easily. I rinse it out weekly.

Very Funcional

It's made of granite. Which I had to double check is food safe (it is), and it's already pretty smooth. I would still take some rice to it to break it in. I already made excellent guacamole with it. Definitely worth the money.

Vijzel had een chip uit de rand en er zat een scheur in die tot ver in kom door liep. Hierdoor is de vijzel echter onbruikbaar en is hij retour gegaan.

Gorgeous design. I was expecting it to be smaller going by some of the reviews I read, but it's not that small at all for what I bought it for (grinding spices), in fact it's a great size... for me anyhow. Easy to hold and use pestle, heavy-weighted mortar, so it stays in place when using it and doesn't move about, easy to clean, stylish modern design, functional art piece. A fab, durable product
