Cold Water Therapy Shoulder Pad for Cryotherapy Unit - Pad Only for Circulating Ice Machine for Surgery, Rotator Cuff [Color: Black]

This worked great, I just had Genioplasty as part of my FFS. and had swelling in the lower cheeks and general jaw area. This cryo-wrap in conjunction with my "Ossur Cold Rush Compact Therapy Ice Machine" were perfect for keeping my swelling at a minimum. the size was perfect for my face. i was worried about the durability of the mask but that's not an issue, the seams of the mask are welded similar to an air mattress, and the hoses seem to be welded and crimped. This was an absolute perfect value for the money situation, i made leaps and bounds of swelling reduction progress keeping this thing on almost 24hrs for the 1st 3 days of swelling. in order to help with temperature retention i would apply my compression bandages at doctor recommended tension BUT a few wraps in i would weave the face wrap into my compression bandages, doing this really helped with temperature retention and kept the facial freezing time up. if i needed to go to the store or about any other buisness i would just detach the Quick release valves and leave the mask in. The quick release fittings dont leak so there is no mess. Tips! when you start to use it for the 1st time you will need to purge the air from the mask, this is normal. just put your cryo unit on a table with it running and the mask conected and sit on the floor beneath it with the mask in your lap massage the mask and squeegee it with your fingers to remove all air bubbles from the furthest corners and until the mask is inflated and puffy. You should be able to hear the pump sucking the air bubbles by and see them going up the tube. Do what you need, i even shook mine to get them all out. where there is an air bubble there is no flow, thus no cooling.

I purchased this “cuff” to use with a 20 year old EBIce water machine. The old cuff was tired! It fit perfectly and worked like a dream. The connectors fit like it was made for this old machine. As for its effectiveness, it works extremely well on my “new” shoulder. So much better than ice packs. It was well worth the money and the Velcro straps are of high quality as is the cuff itself.

I received mine and was so excited. Plugged it in and hooked it up to my ice therapy machine and it worked fine. Turned it off and went to bed. Woke up the next morning and the pad had leaked water all over my floor. It was coming through the fabric? I’m trying to contact the company we will see if I get help.

If you suffer from chronic pain, or are recovering from surgery or an injury, Ice Water Therapy is the way to go for non narcotic pain relief. The problem is that most machines come with a “universal” pad & these “universal” pads are big bulky and not designed for use on the neck. This cervical pad is what you need for that stubborn pain in the neck. I have an old EB Ice Water Therapy machine (which is no longer made) and no one could tell me if the couplings were compatible, even the manufacturer of this cervical pad. I bought it without knowing if it would work with my machine. I’m happy to report that it is indeed 100% compatible with the EB Ice Water machine. This product has 3 parts, the pad the ice water flows through, a thick foam rubber piece to give it stability and a zippered pouch designed to hold it all together. The pad that the water flows through seems to be a bit on the thin side compared to other pads which leads me to wonder about its durability. I’ve been using this pad for about a month and so far there have been no durability issues at all. The thick foam pad is so thick that it makes it difficult to get it to fit comfortably on my neck. A quick trip to a hobby shop for a thinner piece of foam and it made all the difference in the world. The zipper pouch is perfect for allowing the cold to get to your neck while keeping the actual water pad from touching the skin. I recommend this and would buy again.

I got it cause I just had shoulder replacement and rotator cuff repair done at the same time and I will be the first one to tell you it’s money well spent also check your connectors to be sure you have the right connections .

See follow-up below. I seriously injured my hamstring and needed to apply cold therapy several times a day. I have had this wrap and have used it with my aqua relief system. I works great, I get pain relief while using this system with the large wrap. I also did a heat treatment for a day and it worked great. The only negative I have experienced is on day 6 and probably my last cold treatment for the day shortly after I started the cold treatment one of the fitting ends blew off pumping ice cold all over my groin area, couch, flour, table and in my rush to shut off the machine it got my wife in a chair about 8 feet away. This sudden required movement to stop the flow did not do my leg any good. There are not any clamps or tightening ferrule fittings. It is a nipple with ridges and only hold power is by the bite of the edges of the ridge rings. I pushed it back together and have cautiously used it 3 times. If it blows apart again I will have to apply some form of clamp to the tubing. I do hope this issue does not persist. Follow up use after pushing back together, it now leaks where the tubing attaches to the fitting and I have to use a towel wrapped around the fitting!!

Love it works great, you can use it on other parts of the body.

Exact match fit with the brand of machine I have. Nice quality pad. Will see over time how pad holds up but very good so far.
