Separately, any problem with snow coming over the top?** A: The blade is 8.5" tall, it has a very slight curve on the bottom 6" or so, but the last 2.5" has more of a curl to it. As for snow coming over the top, that is highly dependent on how much snow you're trying to push. This shovel is not heavy duty, it's built to clear 1-2" by plowing, maybe 3" tops. I get a lot of 1", 2", and 3" overnight snow falls and got tired of using my heavy 24" wide shovel as it took forever or getting my snow blower out for a couple of inches. This shovels work GREAT to clear light accumulations. For example, if you have 2-3" and are pushing it 6-10 ft there isn't a problem with it coming over the top. However, if I try to push for 20-25ft I get such a mountain of snow in front of me that it will start to come over the top. Speed is a factor as well. If you actually push fast with it, at a job it throws the snow in front of you like a plow, keeping it from coming over the back of the blade. My driveway is concrete, 150 ft long and on average 12 feet wide. I shovel it side to side fast and it literally throws it into my yard without lifting the shovel. **Q: Is the blade angled like a street snow plow so that the snow rolls off in one direction, or perpendicular to handle snow going over top and both sides** A: The blade is curved over at the top like a street plow so that it rolls forward. At least until it's deeper than the blade. The only improvement that I would like to see is something that lets you lift the bottom of the blade up a bit when you tip it back so that you can more easily glide over uneven cement or up onto the grass when you get to the end of the cement. There's no fulcrum on the back side to help you over those rough spots, you have to lift it over those annoying spots. **Q: Are replacement blades available?** A: Skier - Manufacturer website indicates yes. Excellent Quality. *by K***C on November 17, 2025* Bought this to supplement my current snow shovel. It arrived early and was very easy to assemble in about 10 minutes. You do need a powered screwdriver though. It's really sturdy and not too heavy. The blade is solid too and feels like it will do a great job when the white stuff arrives.
