First, this brand is so much cuter than plain black or grey. I know no one will really see it most of the time, but I'd be comfortable stripping down in lodges and walking around in my thermals with these, which is huge for relaxing, cooling down, and mid-day meals.Now for the material. This (after researching since it doesn't say on Amazon) is 200 g merino wool. Base layers range from 190-250 generally. Smartwool uses 250, and is noticeably warmer. I wore this around my house with my thermostat set to 65, and was a bit chilled. I'm often colder than everyone around me, though. I'm sure this would be fine for a normal person.The wool is a bit scratcher than other brands I've tried, but is still well within what I'd call comfortable. Order up from your usual size. I am 5' 6", 140 lbs, 38-29-40 and am a classic medium and size 8, but I ordered a large, which is fitted but not tight, and it's also long enough (comes down over my hips a bit). The small would have been too tight I bet. I could layer another piece under it as long as it wasn't a bulky piece. The wool is comfortable, no itching at all, and the garment is well made. I love that I could get this in a "girl color", the pink (more mauve really), because wearing black and grey all the time gets old. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great wool base layer *by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* I work on wind turbines and have to wear all natural fibers. That is how I came across this base layer. I love them. I ordered the top and bottoms wore them three days in a row when I first got them. I liked them so much I ordered another set with a hood. I am 5ft tall and weight about 130 pounds. The small fits great. I work outside all day in the winter, this is a great base layer. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because I'd like it to be a thicker wool, for work. Also it is pricey for just a base layer but so far worth it.
