Four spring steel bars run the length of the handle and lock into the 8 lb forged steel head with steel locking plates, while a special bonding process keeps head and handle permanently united.The Heavy Duty head is forged from special steel and induction case hardened to 50-58 HRC, certified to BS 876 and SANS 387:2014. Use it for heavy demolition, fracturing stone and concrete, driving stakes and fence posts, rebar work, railroads, automotive applications, and bending or shaping metal. Working temperature range: -10 C to 50 C (14 F to 122 F).The vulcanized rubber grip absorbs vibration and reduces fatigue, the hi-vis head improves jobsite visibility, and the lanyard hole supports tethered use. Warning: do not strike objects harder than 46 HRC; doing so may cause fracture or chipping. Built for construction, demolition, ironwork, automotive, and rescue professionals.
