Great value and very versatile
Bought this to enable recording and potential streaming of local community group meetings. If used with the optional (free) control software you can easily configure additional features such as source keying, Picture in Picture etc. It performs really well, boots very quickly and I can’t fault the video quality or latency. Only gripes are that you need to use the software to load different still images into the media player, and a second HDMI output would be really useful. I know both these features are available on the Extreme model, but this is significantly more expensive.

Threatened to be a waste of time and money but it has worked in the end.
Edit: Previously on this review: "My experience of this product is that it is a complete waste of money. The device itself seems simple enough and I was able to connect a camera and screen and therefore to view what the camera showed and the various 'picture in picture' type buttons worked OK but that's as far as it went. I have been unable to record anything to directly connected media (which is supposed to be straight forward - plug it in and press Record) and attempting to connect it to my PC so that I can use the software (that's a challenge figuring out what to download and getting it to actually download successfully) repeatedly failed until finally it said it needed an update, that failed and the device now appears to be dead." I can now report that having downloaded the latest software and installed it (which requires the previous version to be uninstalled - I have never known software updates to require a complete uninstall before you can 'update' it!) and having carried out a 'factory reset' the ATEM Setup software successfully updated the firmware (?) on the ATEM. The ATEM then performs as I had originally expected, plug and play, even to the point that it will record video (10 minutes so far) to a 4Gb memory stick (format as exFAT) with the right USB C data cable (why are there charge only USB Cs??), though I have got a recommended 1Tb SanDisk SSD to fall back on, had to buy this while I was trying to work out why on earth the device wouldn't record! Have now given it 3 stars and I might go higher if it continues to deliver what's required with longer recordings etc. The ATEM Control software on the PC is fairly unintuitive, best to watch the YT videos to know what it does but that's not how we want to use the device.

Bad product
With the exception of The port 1 all the other ports flickers just like it is in the video! Less value for money sad i can’t return it when I go to know it’s a normal problem with this product! Functionality is very low

It is so awesome and intuitively. Only downside is that, it doesn't have a power on/off button. Also: in order to connect an external disk ( I am using an USB-C hub with an external USB-A hdd ), the HDD needs to be formatted as "exFAT" and you do not need additional setting, just be sure that your desired monitor is on and sound too and press "rec".

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars) Near Perfect—Just Missing an On/Off Switch This switcher is a powerhouse for live streaming. I use it for multi-cam worship broadcasts and retail AV setups, and it handles HDMI inputs, transitions, and streaming with ease. The interface is intuitive, the build is solid, and the integration with ProPresenter and PTZ cams is seamless. Only gripe? No dedicated power switch. You have to unplug it to turn it off, which feels like a small oversight on an otherwise pro-grade device. Pros: Flawless HDMI switching and streaming Compact and durable design Works great with ATEM control software Plug-and-play with OBS, Zoom, and ProPresenter Cons: No physical power switch

The unit is a low cost flexible solution to live streaming. It’s easy to set up, however making a wireless connection requires some network expertise. The ATEM Software Control app offers the functionality we need to broadcast our Sunday church worship on YouTube, including PiP for PowerPoint graphics with lyrics for hymns and words for prayers.
