The Missing Link
As soon as I dialed this pedal in and clicked it on, it became the most essential tone shaping tool in my signal chain. I've been using a DemonFX pedal as an overdrive in front of my 6505mh, which sounds killer, but I still wasn't getting the super tight, punchy sound I was looking for. I hooked this up behind my noise gate through the FX loop using the 4 cable method, and it added an entire dynamic to my sound that I was missing. It honestly makes the amp sound fantastic even without the overdrive! The construction is really nice. The case is a solid metal construction and won't just break on you. The paint is nice and feels durable. The switch is solid and has a nice height to avoid accidentally kicking your sliders. The sliders themselves have a very nice, smooth resistance while not allowing free movement at all, and they have spots in the middle of each frequency that lightly lock into place, so you don't have to guess where the middle is. The red lights are a really nice touch and look really cool in a dark room. If you don't have an EQ pedal in your chain and you are on the fence about trying one, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this pedal. You can transform your tone into whatever you are looking for with this little stompbox. Dialing it in may take a few minutes, but it will be time very well spent. I highly recommend this EQ. TL;DR: It's great, built well, functions perfectly, and looks really cool. Buy it!

A great inexpensive EQ pedal that's actually quiet.
Pro, 1. An inexpensive EQ pedal extremely comparable to the MXR 6 Band EQ. 2. Great sturdy build quality. 3. It accepts either a 9 volt battery or can be powered by a 9 volt adapter. I'd personally advise the battery. 4. It's very quiet compared to some other EQ pedals I've used. For example I used a Caline10 band EQ and a Behringer 7 band EQ. This EQ for the price is far quieter and very close to the MXR 6 Band EQ. 5. It has very responsive controls that allow accurate sound sculpting. 6. The EQ slider light up which them easy to see if you're gigging and want to adjust your settings. Cons, It's not the best and doesn't have a volume control, but for the money and how it works that's not really a con. If you're on a budget and need an EQ this will do the trick plus some. It's ideal for using as a lead boost or in the FX loop of an amp that does have anymore than a tone control. I use this in the FX loop of my Joyo Zombie II head and it fine tunes the frequencies I otherwise couldn't do with the amp head alone.

Effective.
This is an effective tone shaper. It does not feel quite the same as a more expensive and similar emexar product I own and prefer, but it is effective and valuable to me for the price. I bought an amp recently and don't like the sound, so this helps with that. People in these reviews have complained of this product being noisy- it is not. Noise can be accentuated by EQ's coming from single coil guitars (my strat is noisy, but I love it), and also noise from other effects. More expensive EQ's can also seem to cause noise by boosting whichever frequencies. This pedal is good for the price.

EQ: Quiet, effective, better than the yellow competitor in most ways.
EQ pedal Pros [Note that the yellow behringer lacks each of these Pros]: • Very quiet (behringer is SUPER noisy) • Nicely indented center point on pots. • LEDs are nicely orange or something (don't do colors well .. not they aren't super bright blue, so all is good). (Behr. has no lights on sliders) • Pots feel good, not too loose • Metal enclosure, though plastic base. Cons [and here Behringer actually gets the following right]: • Upper most slider is only 3kh. This could easily be an issue if you don't have a low pass filter in your chain [Behringer is better, it has one more at 6.4k] • No separate gain/level control. Behringer does have one and it's a very convenient addition to have, but not vital. • Footswitch has super loud click. Did not hear any click on track, but can't really say since the clack from the switch itself burst my eardrums. [Behr footswitch is very quiet, but it's just a plastic hinged piece badly copying how Boss does it].

I frickin love this pedal.
This is a great little pedal and a killer value! This thing is built like a tank. Heavy and solid. The sliders are tight with a very quality feel to them. I've found a few great uses dig this EQ pedal. First, it allows me to really dial in my guitars to my amps to get exactly the sound I'm looking for. I have a Marshall AVT50 that I just never really liked the sound of. But tweaking it with this pedal actually made it sound great. My favorite use for this pedal is to use it like a boost pedal for solos. By increasing the mids and highs just a flick of that switch really allows you to cut through the mix. Another little trick I found that's fun is that you can use it as a light overdrive to push your amp into breakup. If you max out so the sliders and the tweak the eq by dropping some the frequencies a little bit then set your amp right at the edge of breakup you'll get a nice little dirty blues sound that's pretty cool. All in all I love this pedal. I mean what else can I say? It's very well built and works great. With the heavy build quality it'll last a long time when gigging. Just buy it.

Just “meh” on this one.
I’m a novice guitar player who is putting together my first pedalboard. I thought adding this EQ pedal would help me round out the sound I’m looking for and other Joyo pedals I’ve tried have been really nice for the money. This one is just “meh” for me though. First, the build quality is what I expected and that is to say this pedal seems well built and sturdy enough for typical casual use. It definitely works, which is to say that turning the pedal on doesn’t add noise to the signal and moving the slide switches does change the tone. Beyond that, I wasn’t really impressed with the impact this has on my sound. I’m not sure if this is a trait of all EQ pedals or just this one because I have nothing to compare it with, but the only real noticeable difference in tone came with clean tones. When used along with an overdrive, the changes were only noticeable at the extremes when the settings were maxed out one way or another. Beyond that, I could pretty much dial in the same variation in tone using the controls on the amp and/or other pedals, which makes this EQ something of very limited use. Couple that with the reality that this is a pretty large pedal that takes up quite a bit of room on your board, and it didn’t seem worth keeping on hand. I’ll be sending this one back.

Versatile Tone Shaping ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This 6-band EQ pedal gives me precise control over my guitar tone. The frequency bands are well-chosen and cover all the essential ranges for shaping sound. It's easy to dial in exactly what I need - whether boosting mids for solos or scooping for rhythm tones. The pedal is quiet with no added noise or hum. Build quality is solid and the sliders are smooth and responsive. Takes up minimal pedalboard space for the functionality it provides. Essential tool for fine-tuning your guitar tone. Great value for a quality EQ pedal.

Inexpensive, Easy and Impactful but it only goes to 6
OH BOYO! - It's Joyo! I'm a fan of Joyo pedals and I have several on my rig. So, I figured I'd give the 6-band EQ a shot. There's a lot of information out there regarding eq's online and I invite anyone who doesn't know what they want to do some research regarding it. As far as this pedal? I'm satisfied, it gives me the things I am looking for, when I want to shape the sound for experimental purposes or just to annoy my family, pets and neighbors. Is it perfect? It depends on how you define perfect and perfect for me is "THE ONE" eq that goes to 7. I like 7 it gives me a middle of the road to play with the 6. I like the number 7 compared to 6 and "THE ONE" goes to 7!. Will I get rid of this Joyo for that reason? NOPE! I'm not going to part with the cash for "THE ONE" that goes to 7. My music and ego don't demand "THE ONE" that goes to 7 and my limited focus and sensibilities make me fear anything above 7. So Imma stay with this 6 because at the end of the day - it works and it works well. I hope this helps. Me likey!

appena sufficiente

Excellent value
This EQ does exactly what it's intended for, and at a fraction of the cost of bigger brands. I've had no issues with unwanted noise. Shapes my tones as I wanted. I only purchased as a stop gap because I couldnt afford a 'better' option, now I'm not sure I need to bother.
