These work great
Great little warmers that put out quite a bit of heat. Im sure there are variables but mine generate heat longer than 6 hours when filled correctly.

great little units
Love these. warmer than the rechargeable ones, for 6 hours easy. I keep one in each coat pocket, and a 12 hour one for when i am on the motorcycle in the cold.

Burns hotter than the 12hr model!
the 12hr hand warmer i have burns about 20 degrees cooler than the 6hr one. i really like the size of this model a lot more because it fits in the palm of my hand better. works very well outdoors while im working on christmas lights in 35°F temps. i also got this to last around 8 hours on a full tank and the filler “cup” is a lot smaller than the 12hr version so it uses a lot less fuel and costs less per fill. i don’t notice a strong smell, but using any hand warmer like these you will have a very slight hint of lighter fluid if you smell the bag (which i doubt you’ll be doing on a regular basis. i will say that it burns about as hot as my modified 12hr hand warmer (~145°F). i have yet to modify this one because it gets so hot from factory which i enjoy very much. if you want a HOT hand warmer, get this one. fits a lot better in the hand and seems to burn a lot more consistent without going out. expect about 5 hours for the first use and about 8 hours after a couple uses.

Works great ! Puts out plenty of heat for hours on end!
Great little hand warmer for the money! Easy to use and puts off plenty of heat for hours at a time . Came with an easy to use little plastic filler that you squirt the fuel in , then place the funnel part into the warmer and fill it up, much easier than trying to fill it right from the can. The only downside is the platinum or paladium batting / wicking stuff only lasts so long and after a few years requires more but I think there is a kit that u can buy that has enough stuff to redo several . I was under the impression this thing stays lit and burns while in your pocket but it turns out that's a popular misconception with these type hand warmer. It's not actually an open flame that burns the zippo fluid. It's an actual chemical reaction between the fuel and the batting/wick material, yes you light it but the flame goes out and the wick material glows red like charcoal and that's what keeps it warm . I prefer this style of hand warmer over any of the other types. The only downside side is it does put off a bit of an odor , which isn't unpleasant but if you are using it while hunting then you run a high possibility of the deer or hogs or whatever it is ur hunting, smelling you and avoiding you so that's the one application you may want to opt for one of the rechargeable electric models . But for what I use them for they work great and I prefer these over any other kind.

These little ones give you more heat than the larger ones with the trade off being less run time.
Same size catalytic burner in your traditional Zippo or original peacock hand-warmer but the warmer itself is slightly bigger than a regular Zippo lighter. As a result this unit can get very hot. Out of the pouch the temp measured with contact temp probe in the middle of the top cap between the two holes gets up to 167deg. In the pouch at the same spot gets to 122. By comparison a full size zippo will get up to 146deg out of the pouch and 115deg in the pouch. Although the run time is advertised as 6 hours you can usually expect a few more hours than advertised. If kept in the sack the entire run time. For this unit I got 8.5 hours. Out of the pouch the run time is 6 hours. This is similar to the full size 12hr zippos as I'll get 16-18 hours out of them regularly despite what fuel I use. This was all using zippo brand fuel (although I normally use Coleman fuel, or VM&P Naptha from the hardware store. Whatever I have on hand or is cheapest. Absolutely no reason to use zippo fuel as most of this stuff is all the same, if you have some white gas like coleman fuel or crown fuel use that along with Naptha from the lumber store. VM&P Naptha is usually your best as you can get a quart of that for cheap from any place that sells paint and it doesn't have any additional deodorant added to it like white gas. I find that crown white gas from walmart has a bit of a soapy smell to it. Although zippo advertises their fuel as being "low odor" it smells just as strong to me as white gas, in my opinion VM&P Naptha is the least by smell. That's important to me because I use these in my sleeping bags for winter camping. That allows me to use a 20deg bag or quilt in temps way below their rating. I've been in sub zero temps perfectly warm thanks to a few of these. One additional note in that regards is that these also work well at high altitudes with no ill effect. Even at 11,000 feet in my sleeping bag they have no issue running all night.

They work well and stay hot for hours.

This is quite small, but it puts out a lot of heat for it's size. Using a laser thermometer I've been getting a consistent 40-50 degrees celsius out of the warmer, and using it in temperatures just below zero celcius it works really well. As advertised I get a consistent six hours per fill.
