LEPOWER 28W Flood Lights Outdoor - 3000LM Brightness LED Security Lights

This replaced a similar LED Central Electric spotlight from HD, I forgot to turn it off a number of times so it stayed on until the next day. Apparently that was not good because one spotlight permanently dimmed, maybe it overheated? That was one reason I got this Lepower spotlight, the flat backside allows LEDs to cool better, versus the CE cone shaped spotlights that tapered to a point. Easy install, nice thick foam seal, the mounting screws for the cross bar were too long, could only get 3/8" of threads in my electrical housing so cut down with a hacksaw. Super-bright!, lights up my whole driveway, perfect for when I am rinsing off equipment at night and also helps me see and catch the occasional mosquito too. Seems well made, aluminum spotlight housings and base. But just in case, I replaced the wall switch in garage with an Intermatic 60 minute spring timer (does not need Neutral), that way it will never be left on overnight by accident again. Seems like a water tight design, I covered rim and gasket in acrylic caulk, and put a plug of caulk in the center mounting hole. Time will tell how long it lasts, but right now it seems like a good price.

I’m extremely impressed with this flood light. The brightness is outstanding — it easily illuminates my entire yard and makes a huge difference at night. The build quality feels solid and weather-resistant, so I’m confident it will hold up through rain, wind, and heat. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the adjustable angle makes it easy to point the light exactly where I need it. I also appreciate the energy efficiency.

I'm very pleased with this light fixture. I bought two of them to replace older, 300W (2 lights each) halogen fixtures. I bought the switch-controlled model (no motion detector, no dusk-til-dawn feature) as I have my lights on a timer switch -- they automatically go OFF after 15 minutes if I forget to turn them off. Frankly, I was concerned that these lights might not be "bright enough". Ha! But after seeing them in action, I'm concerned that they may be *too* bright and disturb the neighbors! At 3000 lumens, they are super-bright and the color temperature is 5500K - 6000K, which is very "white" - like daylight. I have a big back yard, and two of these fixtures do a great job of covering and illuminating the entire area, even the nooks and crannies. I use them primarily when taking my dogs out at night -- I want to be able to "see" whatever other creatures might be lurking in the yard (we have both coyotes and bobcats, here). The fixture body is all-metal (aluminum) with plastic lens cover. Another great feature of these lighs is that they're very energy-efficient. Each fixture only draws 28W, compared with 300W for the old halogen fixtures (which didn't produce nearly the same light output). They're rated for 50,000 hours of service, so with a little luck, my days of climbing up a ladder to replace halogen bulbs are over! I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend the product.

The light is hardwired and switch controlled (no motion detector, timer or photo sensor). I connected it up with a smart wall switch so I can have better control of the the light schedule and can be used with Google Assistant to turn it on/off by voice. The light is bright and lightweight. It uses internal LEDs and no light bulbs to change. The horizontal angle of the side panels are adjustable. The entire light is mounted on a ball join, but the lowest angle is still too high for me. It lights up my neighbor's entire wall, but it is OK if you want it to illuminate far ahead. The mounting screws are crap. The metal were too soft and the screwed were all stripped before I can mount the light tightly. Using your own mount screws are highly recommended.

Everything included that you need to connect to an outdoor electrical box. Far superior to the last one I bought that allowed water to enter the fixture. Gasket included with this one has a peel and stick backing, which makes it easy to assemble correctly. Tiny O-ring and a silicone plug included to cover the mounting screw. Very bright and clear. Longest screw included is for attaching fixture to electrical box. Others seem like they fit, but will not adequately tighten the box to the gasket.

I installed 2 on the second storey of my house a few years ago. Works well in the summer & the winter.

Not sure why these are advertised on the UK website as these are incompatible with standard UK 240v
