Consigned to bookshelf
I have previously used the back and neck books in this series, as advised by a physiotherapist years ago, with good results. I was pleased to see the hip version recently as I have osteoarthritis of my left hip with moderate pain and reduced mobility. Unfortunately these exercises have done absolutely nothing for my pain or range of movement. I find them difficult and somewhat painful to perform, so I presume they are just not for me or my particular problem.

Be careful
Started using these exercises and my hip rapidly became much worse. Saw a physio who said never do the lunges! So use with care! Luckily I stopped before the damage was irreversible

Can't download it to Kindle Voyage
Before you buy this, please note that when I tried to download the sample to my Kindle Voyage I just got a message saying it was 'incompatible with this device'. However it appeared OK on my iPad Kindle App. Seems very odd that you can't read a Kindle book on a Kindle Voyage!

One of the most logical & effective books on treating hip pain
As a physical therapist myself, itโs important to me that patients are given resources that not only help them to become self-reliant, but tools that actually make them better. There are many tools available in the industry (exercises, modalities, etc.) but not all of these are created equal. Not by a long shot. Robin McKenzie is one of a pipeline of talented clinicians from New Zealand that through the rich history of NZ physiotherapy (beginning with the arrival of European physio, Kaltenborn) and the clinical experience of treating hundreds of patients and developing an accurate sense for pattern recognition, have created a system/method for treating major musculoskeletal injuries without the use or need for drugs, surgery, or the reliance on other healthcare professionals. Treat Your Own Hip gives the reader an opportunity to assess and treat his or her own hip pain. The language is concise and the book is fully illustrated, making this guide user friendly and ready to implement from day one.

Help Yourself
I'm the kind of person who doesn't run to the doctor for every little ailment I have, and this whole series of books is great. If you are disciplined enough to do the work, there are practical exercises to help you, and they really worked for me! There are also books on healing your own neck, back, etc.
