Mr Bob Grundy's (10/10/22) answer is by far the most detailed and accurate answer submitted so far... but the info did me no good... as I had the misfortune of trying to use the kit on a caliper that had been build OVER sixty ONE years ago...so did not work. I am sure the tool kit would have been superb otherwise...

Will this work for vehicles that don't require the notches on the adapters? I.e. will this work to compress pistons without rotating?
