Review: Exceeds expectations. - This case meets or exceeds expectations. Passes the sniff test for odors. It is very sturdily built and stitched very nice. I could not find any imperfections upon very close inspection. The latches are well placed and work really smoothly. I'm so glad I did not try to save a few dollars going to a cheaper case. A surprise was the three lugs on the bottom of the case to prevent scratching when set down and opened. It also has two lugs on the set down side. Good thinking. The interior pieces are held in with screws instead of rivets. This fits my Jameson banjo perfectly. The padding on the inside is well placed with a "hump" on the string side at the neck and bridge , approximately four inches by eight inches and eight inches square, respectively. There is also a strap between the cover and base to keep it from flopping open. I would feel comfortable placing a much more expensive banjo securely in the case for traveling locally. I don't expect to travel by air with this. So much nicer than my other banjo case. This is a good value for the money.
Review: Carrion C-2901 Banjo Case ($52.86) - I was very happy when this little number arrived 3 days before it was supposed too (I have no idea why it did). Upon first inspection the case is lighter than I would have like, although combined with the banjo its pretty hefty (note: I have to take six flights of stairs). The hinges are surprisingly sturdy as is the handle, which upon discovery brought me significant joy. There are three latches, presumably steel, which run around the outer front of the case. I don't know why but I would have preferred four, just personal preference I suppose. Their is a lock on the middle latch although I wouldn't put your life savings in the case because its mostly for show, keep people from knocking off your tuning and all that. My banjo is approximately 39",14",5.5" (L,W,H) or 99.06,35.56,13.97 in centimeters which makes it a bit on the thin side. As a result of this my banjo tends to "sit", if you will, while the case is on the ground and "lean" when I pick it up. If you were to lift the case to quickly you might knock it around but if you stuff an old rag in there it will be good. Theirs also a storage bin in the case which I found delightful. I currently have a case of picks in there as well as a box of strings, tuner, notes, cloth (for cleaning strings), a mute (clothespin), a flask, and a partridge in a pear tree just kidding. My final assessment of this case is that it lives up to, if not exceeds the standards for a case of this price (at time of purchase $52.86). It's been about a month since my purchase and every things held up nicely. Pros: --Sturdy handle --Sturdy hinges --Support strap (keeps the lid from moving) --Superb storage bin --Soft interior cloth Cons: --Too many "s"'s in the Pros section Final Remarks: I would fully recommend that you purchase this case for your banjo. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent Case -- Fits 6-string

Basic plywood hardshell guitar and banjo cases typically go for about $100-$120 where I live, so at $60 plus free shipping this was a bargain. I see that the price has gone up a bit since I purchased mine, but it's still a better deal than anything I could score locally. This is your basic black vinyl-covered, plywood banjo case, with typical fuzzy interior padding and three reasonably heavy-duty latches. Hinges, handle, "feet" etc. were all as expected. It's not an Anvil(tm) aluminum flight case that you can drop down an elevator shaft, but it beats most of those cheaper styrofoam cases, and it beats /any/ gig-bags for keeping your instrument protected. And, it fits both standard 5-string bluegrass banjos and 6-string banjitars, the latter of which was a selling point for me. This is something to watch for: not all standard banjo cases will fit all 6-stringers. Oh, and the supplier provided blindingly fast delivery. I ordered this case at the same time as the banjo, and it arrived a week before the banjo! Nothing to complain about there.
