It works great, not super solid
I've only used this a couple of times because I just got it a week ago and so far I like it. It's very bright and can clip on pretty much anywhere. The quality of the clip is okay. It grips well, but sometimes, it almost came off, especially if clipped on to a moving part like a back pack shoulder strap. I do like that it's rechargeable. I recharged once and used twice. I don't how long the charge lasts. My only complaint and critique so far is that if feels a bit cheap. The material is not very sturdy, and it makes a weird clicking noise when you change light modes, but not a deal breaker especially if it lasts for a while. I commute to work and planning to do that through the winter, so I need something that can endure cold and harsh weather. I will let you know. Edit: I changed this from 4 to 5 stars because of the customer service that these guys demonstrated: I used the lights throughout last winter. They have been through rain, cold, ... and I loved them. Easy to switch between the different light patterns, clips nicely, I clip one to the seat post and the other to the handle bar, easy and fast to charge. I stopped using them in the summer because I rarely ride in the dark, so when I pulled them out again to charge and start using them this fall, I was able to charge one, but not the other. I emailed Magnus and explained to them what happened, and I got an email back asking me if I still have the same address so they can send me a new one. I got a couple of days later. Amazing!!! This is one of the best exchange experiences I've had on Amazon. Thank you!

Great Value, very stylish and easy to use
For the price, these are astonishingly good. The combination of stylish design, fine aluminum construction, and USB charging (charges BOTH with ONE cord at same time!) makes for a very strong product. The headlight light itself is mostly intended as a warning for cars although it certainly does illuminate enough of the street to spot an errant rock or pothole...but no more than about 15 feet out, so don't try to take a hill at 30 mph at midnight unless you're really confident. The rear lamp is a bit easier to apply since the seatpost is a great fit. I tried the frame for the headlight initially but that was hard to aim right and got in the way of the brake cables. Mounting it to the handlebars did the trick, but I did have a slight angle-issue with the light which I had to later sort out at home. Mine had a minor defect in the assembly/manufacturing which meant the headlight housing was threaded onto the plastic clip at a slight angle, somewhat shearing a few threads. It took some real muscle to re-thread it on right, but I eventually got it on properly so I don't have to send it back. I'd take care to look at that when you get one and see if the base is flush/flat with the plastic mount and re-apply it if needed. Otherwise perfect product. Can't take a star off for that since the price point is just too good. Easily $70 product value.

Good product - great customer service
The lights aren't quite as bright as I was hoping but do fine for making sure I'm seen on the streets. The straps are also not quite as secure as I would like - over stretch them on a thick bar (the most visible option on my bike) and they'll slip off. I do love how easily the lights unscrew and the ease of battery-free charging. Also, the customer service so far has been great. I emailed Magnus Gear about an issue I had and they promptly accommodated me. When I realized that what they sent me wasn't quite right/complete, they again promptly accommodated my request. In short, the product is good and the service has been great. I would suggest both to others and I will certainly do business with Magnus Gear again.

Nice set
I found Magnus Innovations on Amazon while looking for a replacement for a $50 dollar light whose plastic clip had failed in less than a year. At that time, they had a two for one deal on a light they no longer sell. Those lights were awesome. Not bright, but bright enough, with excellent form factor. What impressed me is I contacted them to suggest a clip for the light so I could fit it on the back of my Topeka Wedge pack as I didn’t have enough seat post to strap the light on. They were quick to respond. I don’t recall the conclusion of my conversation with them, but I remember being impressed with how accessible they were. Here we are several years later and one (of the two) lights finally bit the dust during a battery change. I looked at lights and was tempted by some of the fancy smart lights out there. What I found was lights that were too big, too bright, and/or didn’t have the battery to last at least eight hours (which some of my rides can). I looked Magnus up again and was pleasantly surprised to find a USB chargeable light for under $20. Here is what I like about the light. First, it is brighter than my original purchase. This isn’t something you buy to guarantee visibility, as the luminosity isn’t out of this world, but it gets the job done. Also, riding in large groups, this isn’t a light that will give someone behind you a seizure or irritate them with its brightness. I love the form factor as well. It has a sleek aluminum housing and is relatively clean. It is bigger than previous versions, but still small enough to feel pro. The clip adds somewhat to the bulk, but it makes it more versatile (i.e., helmets, packs, etc.). I will test the battery on my next ride and see if it can last at least eight hours on the slow blink setting. I can’t speak to durability, but if it shares anything with it’s antecedents, I expect a few good years out of this light. If you are looking for something that increases visibility, is small, and easy (i.e., rechargeable), for the price, this is right up there with more expensive lights. The above review is the same as my review for the Bold II rear light. I also bought the 360 version. I have been wanting a small front light to increase my visibility in high traffic areas, or on long rides where fatigue might impair my alertness. The small size isn’t too obtrusive on the handlebar, and if it lasts as long as they advertise, it will do the job. I would not use this as a light for illuminating the road, but it does the job if you want to be seen. I am still holding out hope for a light this small that can be attached to a GoPro mount so that it can be hung under an integrated head unit mount.—That would be clean.

Broke and Magnus won't respond about fulfilling warranty!
UPDATE AS OF MARCH 2019: One of my lights broke a couple months ago. I've called Magnus, emailed them, and asked Amazon to contact Magnus. The ability for Amazon to contact Amazon was disabled. Magnus is NOT fulfilling this so called life-time warranty! -- ORIGINAL REVIEW: Fantastic. Charges quickly. Bright for the size and the price. Won't exactly light your way on a pitch black road, but that's not why I bought these. I just want to be spotted by cars, and it's definitely doing that! Note you DO have to hold the lights to turn them on (rather than a one-click press), but the nice thing is it will automatically go to the last setting you were using (steady light, fast blink, slow blink, etc) so you don't have to toggle through them every time.

Awesome lights
Compact & powerful little buggers! Conveniently small enuf to tuck away in a small pouch and light weight enuf to pack a second pair. The lights are no joke for there size,do not point at face bright. I ride in pitch black back country type terrain and I have great visibility! The best part is they are rechargeable! They are guaranteed for life as long as you fill out the online certification after you purchase one,so you really can't go wrong. I will highly recommend anyone to buy two sets of these light because you can give one set as a gift to someone who you want to think your cool, works! Super cool removable strap that fits on more than just your bike. I have one that fits perfectly on my shower curtain rod that shines right in on my teeth when brushing in the mirror.I have one attached to shed pole so I can see to unlock it at night. One of the most versatile LED lights on market. Highly recommended for anyone who looking for best design, quality and price!-

Nice lights, bad QC example.
I recently received the lights to use when I ride my bicycle at night. The lights are extremely small and portable and functionally sound, but one of my plastic strap mounts came deformed from a bad molding process along with extremely bad QC before boxing. I have read many favorable reviews for this particular product and will update my review after I hear back from the reseller with regards to how they wish to handle this. I bought two sets and the other one is perfect. I have brighter fixed lights on my bike, but these will be great for mounting on my helmet for the sole purpose of being seen. Another mounting point to see the road better would be to mount it low on the fork. UPDATE: I kept one pair, and returned the defective one.

I think these lights are great! They are small
I think these lights are great! They are small, but bright. They can be seen in the daylight. They don't use much power on flash mode, and last many rides without recharging. They are light weight. They go on and come off the bike easily. They don't blind other oncoming riders. They do their job beautifully. They are also inexpensive. The first set that I purchased came with the front (white) light seated improperly. However, Magnus Gear immediately replaced the defective unit without question and didn't even ask for the defective light to be returned. They replacement arrive in a couple of days and I was back riding with the lights again. These lights are intended to make the rider visible. They are not intended to illuminate the path. So my assessment is that they do their job extremely well.
