After many disappointing results, I started doing some research and came to find that bread making is a science. You can't just throw ingredients into the pan and then expect the bread to come out perfect.I went on YouTube and found some very useful clips on how to measure flour accurately. What an eye opener!!I've been measuring flower all wrong my entire life! Every clip I watched said to buy a scale. So I did and couldn't be happier with the results I'm now getting. However, even buying a scale is a learning process. The first scale I bought was too hard to read and flimsy. I bought another one and the difference is like night and day. This scale is more than double the price but when am I going to learn that you get what you pay for. It was well worth the investment.This scale comes with a very useful bowl and I can read the display so easily. I have converted cups to ounces and grams and it must be accurate because just look at the results in the pictures. The first picture of rye bread was without measuring the flour with the scale and the next picture is my first attempt weighing the flour with the scale. Perfection! It not only looks delicious, it tastes delicious. Most homemade breads are too dense for me and that's because there is too much flour if measured without a scale. This country white bread I made could rival any bread from a bakery! I LOVE THIS SCALE!I can see so many uses for this scale - not just weighting flour. I'm going to start using it for portion control for my meals because I've gained a few pounds taste testing all these breads! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to read *by D***D on January 16, 2024* I replaced a flat glass top digital scale with this one because I was having a difficult time reading it when my mixing bowl was on it. This is much easier to read with the slanted front and so resolves my issue. I am not 100% certain about the accuracy - occasionally I note a bit of a delay for the reading to catch up to what I am adding to my bowl. I've quickly figured out how to work around that by simply slowing down a touch. I maintain sourdough starter and bake bread twice weekly, so I do use this on an almost daily basis. It comes with a stainless mixing bowl - it is not quite big enough for my bread needs but is very handy for other uses - bonus! I like this scale and do recommend it.
