An amazing story but not for kids
It's a darker story of Alice in wonderland where Spoilers . . . Alice is an 18 year old living with her parents. She has a hobby of taking pictures of people around town. She goes to visit her aunt frequently to get her pictures processed. One time she looks at the pictures after they are done and all of them are her old friends from wonderland but in terrible conditions. Basically after she left the queen of hearts went on a bloody rampage killing everyone and a resistance was set up against her with the main person against her being Mary Anne. Mary Anne somehow sent the message to Alice through the photos because of something something vague magic. So all in all it's an amazing story in my opinion but it is very dark especially for kids so I'd recommend being at least a teen before reading this

Wonderful read
Liz Braswell’s Unbirthday is a compelling and imaginative reimagining of Alice in Wonderland—a “what if” tale that asks: What if Alice was older and returned to a Wonderland in crisis? Part of Disney’s Twisted Tales series, this novel blends whimsy, darkness, and social commentary in surprising and meaningful ways. Set years after Alice’s original adventure, the story finds her at 18 years old, navigating the restrictions of Victorian society while haunted by memories (or dreams?) of Wonderland. But when she begins seeing familiar Wonderland characters in her photography—and realizes Wonderland itself is in danger—Alice is pulled back into the chaos, only to find it reflects the injustices of her real world. Braswell cleverly uses Wonderland not just as a setting, but as a metaphor. The absurdity of the Queen’s rule, the silencing of voices, and the distortion of truth mirror Alice’s growing awareness of the flaws in her own society. Through this, the book tackles themes of censorship, power, identity, and courage

Alice Returns to Wonderland to Save a World Full of NONSENSE
I was really excited when I found out that there was going to be a DISNEY TWISTED TALE about ALICE IN WONDERLAND. I really enjoyed this book and coming back to Wonderland. I loved how Alice, despite being older, worked so hard to help others not just in Wonderland, but in her world as well (especially children). It was great to be reunited with the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat and meeting new characters (Katz is a VERY special character) as Alice returned to save Wonderland from the Queen of Hearts.

An absolute delight
Had a pretty good time with this book, involving an eighteen-year-old Alice, and a quest with some quirky Wonderlandians to stop the Queen of Hearts from collecting all the toys and bringing about the end of Wonderland. Alice travels with the Mad Hatter, though he's losing his madness, a Dodo, and a Gryphon, as well as the Dormouse and Bill, the lizard from the Lewis Carroll novel. In fact, it might help if you've read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll before picking up this book. There are many references to that work which are not present in the Disney movie. There's not too many Through the Looking-Glass references ehre, though one of Humpety-Dumpety's lyrical serenades, "Jabberwocky," definitely has plenty of references here. There's also something about a corrupt political party which Alice has to put a stop to, and her adventures in Wonderland seem to have some effect on the real world, and vise versa. Or at the very least what she learns from one can perhaps help her in the other. Also, I know only fairy tales have been done with this really, but I really hope a Zooptia one gets written. Zootopia has so much to explore with the twelve districts and I feel it would be amazing to see more of Judy Hopps.

Daughter loves these books, what she was most impressed about was the quality of this hard cover book and how pretty it is. She loves the story. If you like the "Disney" stories with a twist, these books are a great read.

Wonderfully written, another must have book if you are a fan of the “twisted tales” series.
