Extremely comfortable
I actually use these when I'm driving on long trips. I have a noisy car (Subaru Forester), so whenever I'm driving for more than an hour I try to wear these. That way, I don't arrive with ringing in my ears and hearing loss, and I'm far less fatigued from driving. I have slept in them a little too and that also works. Sometimes they are a little difficult to get back out, which can be slightly scary, but it has never required more than an extra minute of patience. Because these are designed with a hole in the center, they don't cause problems with pressure changes like a foam or other solid earplug would. So, if you drive up a mountain, you won't have pressure building up in your ear canals. These should also be excellent for airplane flights. They also, much like far more expensive models, seem to do a good job at canceling out sound across the spectrum and leaving you with a fairly good but just lower volume remnant of whatever sound is around you. I did take these to a stadium show once, and was able to hear everything clearly. They've also been quite durable so far. Through dozens of uses over probably 30 hours so far, there's no detectable wear or deterioration on them. The little case they come with is really nice too--easy to keep them in your pocket in the case without getting them dirty. Well worth many times the cost to save your hearing from long drives, loud concerts, and airline flights.

Another order delivered late
The ear plugs work great. When I ordered, Amazon said delivery tomorrow so I placed the order. The item actually arrived a day after the initial delivery date. This isn't the first time either.

The holy grail of ear plugs
I have seemingly average ears but it's been next to impossible for me to use foam or silicone earplugs and I've tried a good dozen varieties! Once I've rolled them between my fingers, I can only insert them about 1/3 of the way, and then my ears gradually push them out until they fall out, typically in a half hour or less. These hollow, soft ear plugs have an ingenious "applicator" that you insert into the middle of each plug and then "screw" them into your ear (obviously, not too far!). This is the first time I've experienced sleeping with earplugs actually IN my ears and it's HEAVEN. Well, not heaven for the ears - you still feel them - but it's a huge relief to be able to sleep next to my snoring husband! I did not experience any problems sleeping on my side or my stomach, as some reviewers have complained, and I did not need to cut down the side "handles" that supposedly stick out too far. The earplugs themselves are really soft (including those side protrusions) so I did not feel them at all. All in all, this is an incredibly well-designed product! As far as sound blocking, they do not block the sound completely - nothing short of pilot's on-ear cans will - but they get close enough. Snoring is notoriously hard to block out but these really do a decent job! For comparison, I have a pair of custom ear plugs made for me by an audiologist in a doctor's office, based on impressions of my actual ears, and the blocking is definitely at least as good, while the comfort is superior. I am unable to sleep on my side in my custom earplugs because they are too hard but these are super soft so the discomfort, while there is some, is minimal. I am thrilled to have found $14 protection that's better than my $160 customs!

Well designed, but ineffective
I got these because my wife likes to sleep with the TV on, and that makes it hard for me to fall asleep. Now, what I will say for these ear plugs is that the build quality seems great. They're clearly meant for re-use, and it even comes with a little plastic pokey thingy to clean them with and a plastic carrying case. The problem, however, is that they're just not that effective. In my case, it didn't cut down on the TV noise enough for it to really even help at all. What I finally ended up going with was Flents which, while not as comfortable and unfortunately disposable, are comfortable enough to sleep in and do a great job at noise reduction. So the big thing is don't buy these if there's any significant amount of ambient noise and you don't want to hear it while you're trying to sleep. If you just want the din to be a little quieter, then you should be happy with these.

Cancels noises yet lets you hear the alarm - lasts 2-3 months
I love these ear plugs for they do exactly what I need them to do: Minimize all the sounds that will pull me out of deep sleep (I live next to a busy road), yet still let me hear the alarm clock in the morning, all with little to no irritation enabling a comfortable sleeping experience. You need to set an alarm that has a high pitch frequency, these are the sounds that get past the ear plugs. So I still hear a motorcycle racing at high speeds down the street once in a while, yet they drown out all the other sounds that used to wake me - thus I sleep really well now. The downside is that (in my experience) they wear out in a few months. Which is disappointing when you pay more for these than a simple set of ear plugs that will block out all sounds - yet I pay up so I can wear them all night and actually hear and wake up to my alarm. It seems that pulling and pushing on the main green cylinder shaped part that protrudes from the ear plug will cause it to fatten. When the cylinder fattens you are unable to use the little green tool to slide it into your ear - for the cylinder is too fat to fit. Once the plugs get to this point they are nearing their end of life yet you can still get a number of sleep cycles out of them till they begin to tear or fall apart. I have experimented with several sets over the years to make these last as long as possible and here is what I have found that works best for me: - Don't pull or push on the green cylinder part of the ear plug, use the tool to put them in your ear. - Don't pull on the little green extender that is attached to the end of the ear plug; this was added fairly recently yet I have found that using it to remove the ear plugs just exacerbates the wear and tear (So I cut it off - feel free to experiment on your own) - To remove the ear plugs: I pull gently on the white flaps or gently push them away from the inner ear around in a circle till the plug falls out - this seems to keep the main green cylinder from fattening and causing more wear and tear. - Don't cram these way up into your ear canal either, that just makes them harder to remove and promotes more wear and tear; you will have to find a happy medium in the ear, not too far, not to light.

Not as sound dampening as I thought.
I bought these earplugs because my husband snores and it’s hard for me to fall asleep and sleep through the night. I also bought them for camping to reduce outside noise without cancelling all noises all together. These earplugs do reduce some noise, but not much. I can still hear my husband’s snoring. I do think it reduces the noise while sleeping, but. It enough if I’m awake. I wish these were just a little more cancelling. While camping, I could hear a lot of natural sounds still. These mostly stay in my ears but have had them fall out while sleeping. It probably depends how much I’m twisting and turning through the night. They are also fairly comfortable but my ears a little sore when I wake up. I may try out other pairs of earplugs to see if I can get a better option.

Great Sleeping ear plugs!!
Have used these earplugs for about 2 years now and they are good for me. Soft and generally don't fall out. Clean easily and last a long time.

Absolutely Life Changing For Snoring and Ear Ringing
I actually got these because I had heard that ear plugs might help with ear ringing. These do the trick. While they don't always make the ear ringing go away completely, they certainly have helped me control it much better. Added bonus is that I can't hear my husband's snoring at all. When the very loud fire alarm went off in our house, I didn't hear it, which I guess is a downside. And I have to use one particular alarm clock to wake me up because I don't hear the one on my phone or my watch at all, so make sure you can hear your alarm to wake up before you use them before going to work. But I don't hear the yard guys when they run leaf blowers and string trimmers right outside my window. I don't hear the garbage trucks. I get utter silence. I sometimes have an allergic reaction to silicone, and these are silicone-free. I have not had any allergic reaction to them at all. I love these so much that I also now own the Alpine party plugs and used them at a very loud concert where I was the only one in our group actually enjoying the music. And I own the Alpine flight plugs and they are amazing for preventing ear pressure. What amazing products these guys make!

Excellent ear plugs, have been using Alpine Sleepsoft for many years
I first bought Alpine Sleepsoft earplugs in my first year at uni to block out the noise of the couple next door... Six years later and I still use them (although not the same pair!). The Sleepsoft 2015 are slightly different to the previous models. In the older model the filter would eventually end up coming loose and falling out, and every morning I'd have to search around my bed to find it and slide it back in. This doesn't happen with the newer version. When you buy this version it also comes an 'ear plug cleaner' although I can't say I've ever used it... I don't think I give my earplugs the love and care they need, but they still last pretty well. These earplugs are reusable and last me several months at a time, they would probably last you much longer than that if you used the cleaner provided/washed them. The earplugs come in a little plastic case with an applicator to help you put them in your ears (I find if I use this I get a snugger fit than if I put them in by hand). I think when people buy earplugs they often have a particular noise that is stopping them sleeping that they want to completely block out (a noisy neighbour, a snoring partner), and then they are disappointed when they find they can still hear the noise through the ear plugs. These ear plugs do not block out all noise, in fact they don't really block out any noise, instead they dampen/subdue the noise. The best way I can describe it is to imagine you are underwater. I can still hear my alarm in the morning, I can still hear my girlfriend if she is talking to me, but everything is muffled. If your partner is a loud snorer you will probably still hear them snoring, but somehow through the filters in the earplug it's just much less irritating. I much prefer this dampening of the noise rather than blocking everything out, as you don't feel so cut off from everything, and in emergencies you can still hear alarms etc. To summarise, if you want to completely block out all noise, these won't do it. If you want to filter out/muffle the noises/make noises you can't do anything about more bearable, then give these a try.

Unscrupulous Sellers selling at double the MRP!
The product itself is excellent and easy to use. It provides a fair level of noise attenuation. They are also comfortable to wear through the night. But beware of vendors selling this item at double the Maximum Retail Price. The MRP is Rs. 1,199. Use that as a reference point, and don't be cheated.
