You do not want to start whitening your teeth when you still have plaque or stains on them. With that being said, these white strips were not so comfortable to put on. They, however, did whiten my teeth. I did not get a zoom whitening result, but definitely a few shades whiter. You will need patience and will need to do it daily for the duration of the strips. And I didn't want to be outdone, we are friendly competitiors. So he used his really expensive trays that were molded for his mouth and I used these. At the end of seven days you couldn't tell his kit cost more.There are two teeth pre filled mouth trays per single pack. One for the top, one for the bottom. When you put them on you need to use your finger to sort of spread the whitener around a little. The top tray fit my teeth great. The lower tray seemed too small, like it didn't want to reach the front bottom of my teeth. So it took a little adjusting to get it to fit right.I left the trays in for thirty minutes. By the third day my teeth were quite a bit whiter.This will not whiten any artificial crowns or teeth that are not natural. The first day there were sort of whitish spots on my teeth. The next day they were gone. The third day my teeth were definitely whiter. Day four I accidentally slept for two hours with mine in and gums hurt like mad and my teeth were hyper sensitive. The next day I skipped because my gums and teeth hurt. The sixth day my teeth were sparkly. The seventh day I was actually satisfied with my results. And the eighth day I was elated with my teeth.And my whiter teeth really bring out my eyes! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not worth more than $20/ box *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2014* Get it at a good price and you can't go wrong.I've used this 6 separate times now. 42 applications in all.At first I thought the Aquafresh Trays were great.I then tried "Target" Branded Strips and then back to Aquafresh Trays.The Aquafresh Trays are more effective than Target Strips, that is for certain, but after 42 uses, I have become more critical of the Aquafresh Trays for the following reasons:TRAYS ARE FLIMSYTRAYS DO NOT MAINTAIN GOOD CONTACT OF THE GEL TO YOUR TEETH.Trays are too stiff to shape to the curvature of your teeth- this is where strips win over these trays.The amount of gel in the trays seems to be insufficient to cover more than your 4 front teeth top and bottom.If you put the tray in nervously and end up getting the gel BEHIND your teeth --- GOOD LUCK GETTING THE GEL ON THE FRONT OF YOUR TEETH.If you are salivating when putting the trays in, you will not get good contact of gel to your teeth.SOMETIMES the gel will burn your gums if you smush it past your teeth and onto your gums - especially if it ends up on the lingual gum surfaces.Having said all this, I will recommend you try them, ONLY if you don't have to pay more than $20/box.
