That being said if you have decent DIY skills, you can easily replace the internal lithium ion battery. It will however void the manufacturers warranty, but if Surefire doesn't have a mechanism for people to get these recelled, the DIY option may be the users only option. Logitech tells you their remotes with sealed rechargeable lithium ion cells, cannot be replaced Dyson, tells you that their sealed rechargeable lithium ion cells cannot be replaced. Ryobi also tells you the same. I've recelled all of those, sometimes just one of the rechargeable lithium ion cells dies before the others and it won't work with one bad cell. seen that scenario 100x fixing friends and neighbors battery packs. Sometimes manufacturers don't use the best lithium ion cells to begin with. Many times I've opened them up and replaced the cheap lithium cells and replace them with higher quality Panasonic cells, this gives me better runtime and usually a longer lasting life with better cells. If a DIYer doesn't understand what a protected cell vs a non protected cell is, then they should forgo the DIY option. Lithium Ion batteries can pose a fire threat, so knowing what your doing is important. **Q: Do i have to click through all the light settings every time i turn the light on? i want a light i can start & stop on a single setting all day long.** A: No, once you have selected a light for more than three seconds, the next click is off... the back taclight switch is probably the one I use most . **Q: After fully charged.
