Surprisingly Useful smart plug with energy monitoring
In the past couple months, I've been trying some YoLink devices because of their range and because some have the ability to do things when there is no power. I put this particular plug on my refrigerator so I could monitor the energy usage. I discovered to my surprise that it has the ability to return to a pre-determined state in the event of a power outage or a "blip" in the power. I don't want my refrigerator staying off on a power interruption as some others do but return to the "on" state. I tried it and it works. I found the setup quite easy, too. BTW, I have absolutely zero connection to the company or Amazon but am just a happy customer.

Yolink Products
I've been using Yolink's Temperature/Humidity sensors in my freezers for over a year and they have been working great. Decided to also put one in my safe to monitor humidity and use this remote smart receptacle to turn the dehumidifying heating rod off/on rather than have it run all the time. This way I can maintain the humidity within an acceptable range and conserve electricity. They both work great through the safe's 1/2" steel plate and has a strong signal. Very satisfied and will continue to add Yolink products.

Remote power control to just about anything
We live rural and are on a well water system. Due to the distance our well is from our house we have a booster pump located near the house for increasing the water pressure to the house and the lawn irrigation system. I have our booster pump plugged into this smart plug so I can turn it on and off remotely from my phone as needed via the Yolink app. It works great and the app tells you when the smart plug is on or off. This plug can be used for many things like seasonal exterior lighting, water fountains etc...

A Great Product from a Great Company
Constantly exceeding my expectations. I own a lot of Yolink hardware and am deep into Home Automation with Home Assistant. All work seamlessly. After using a lot of the devices for a long time, I had one failure. The App on my phone let me know there was an issue. Therefore, the system (includes all of the components) are monitored for health. A rare and complete level of Systems Engineering. On the one failure, I emailed Yolink with the results of the very simple and straight forward troubleshooting. Boom. They were sending me a replacement in minutes. Absolutely outstanding. I have not seen a company at this level in a while. It brings tears of joy to my eyes to find a company like this one. I can only hope that other companies take notes and follow this outstanding example.

Comes with two software features that are missing from some other brands
This outlet has two important features I'm happy to see: * It can switch a device (like a fan) based on events from a YoLink Moisture Detector * It can notify when an appliance draws current over a threshold This lets me set up a notifications and actions for when appliances are running (like a reminder to empty the laundry) and dry things out when they get damp.

Only good as an energy monitoring where you can set minimum or and maximum wattage for alarm.
Graph energy monitoring is not usable in the app for the appliance witch cycle more than twice a day. Only good as (1) an expensive “smart plug”, (2) energy monitoring where you can set minimum or and maximum wattage for alarm. For example, you can plug it in to the washing machine and set warning trigger below 5watt. This way you will get an alarm when machine finished washing.

The Energy Monitoring feature is almost useless.
I use Home Assistant for home automation and want to set up announcements for the washer or dishwasher based on current power usage. However, the plug I have reports usage only every 30 minutes, while other products on the market provide updates every few seconds. This long reporting interval makes it ineffective for automations that rely on current usage. Additionally, there are limited options available in Home Assistant for integrating with this plug. On a positive note, the switch functions well for basic operations. I added a few screenshots for detailed comparison.

Logs wh data and easy to program with other yolink devices
I'm using this along with a temperature sensor to control a heater more finely tuned to where the temperature sensor is located for one heater. For a second area, I use a low temperature alarm to turn on a duct fan as an emergency heat source in another area in the event the primary heat source fails such as a loss of power event. What is key in that scenario is the duct fan is backed by a UPS or an inverter off a solar array. What I would change is to add a low warning and high warning as you can only control off the low or high alarm. I'd like to control devices off a warning setpoint but only get an actual alarm on a true alarm value. Example, have the fan come on at 38F but don't send me an alarm unless we reach 35F.
