OM SYSTEM Olympus E-103 Stereo Transcription Headset, Black

This is a no-frills but well constructed and good headset for transcription of dictations. The sound quality is good. The form factor takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it then it's good. I recommend it and am thinking of buying a second back-up, in case it goes out of production or there are supply issues. It's something I would want in my toolkit for the next decade. One thing - I wish the manufacturer made an actual CASE for this thing.

These headphones work fine, but I've definitely had better. I broke my previous pair and got these as replacement and they are not as clear and crisp as my previous pair. I am going to buy the same model as my previous pair for every day use and keep these for backup. I'm a transcriptionist so I am rather picky. These work just fine if the audio is clear and no background noise, but if the audio has any issues, these are not the best headphones for the job. So if you are working in an office and just doing dictations for, say, your boss or just one to two speakers clearly speaking into the microphone, these will work fine. If you're transcribing for law enforcement or legal proceedings, you'll need something better.

I bought these for my coworker and she loves them. She said it's so clear, and they fit perfectly. If you need a pair for an office environment, these are a low price reliable purchase!

I like this headset as opposed to other brands because it sits comfortably on my head. I use it to transcribe digital dictation in a busy law firm and it blocks out all the noise in my surrounding area. The sound comes over as clear as if the person was standing next to you.

Our office has used the Olympus headsets for many years. We have found them to reliable, have good sound and are well made. Not very often that we need to switch these out.

I have tried many different headphones throughout my career as a transcriptionist and these are by far the best I have come across, especially for the price. They truly allow me to hear and understand each speaker more clearly in all the digital recordings that I have used these for. The only reason I did not rate this as 5 stars is because I do wish they came with volume control and a microphone. They may have this option on a pair that I did not come across so it could also be my mistake. But, if you're a transcriptionist, I promise you, you will not be disappointed in purchasing this headset. They are super comfortable as well. I love that they hang under the chin and they don't actually sit all the way in my ears. They just basically sit and cover the inside portion of my ear. I wear them for very long periods of time, sometimes up to 12 hours a day and no discomfort. Trust me. Ignore any negative reviews. These are definitely worth buying. They have made my job so much easier!

Very comfortable and great sound. If you are like me and can't wear earbuds, you'll really like these. Only thing is I wish the headband was adjustable.

Been a transcriptionist for years now. After Sennheiser decided to discontinue PX100, I was searching for a good transcription headset. The audio might sound feeble (at least to me) but VOICE was clear and crisp. No feelings of ear discomfort. Really lengthy cord LOL!!
